I made a reservation through Trip Advisor the day before, but apparently not in time for the company to receive it, despite my "confirmed" status and e-ticket. The conductor was working from a printed list of passengers and not scanning electronic tickets. Despite querying her home office, with no record of my reservation, she asked me to leave the bus. I'm awaiting a refund.
Majority of the trip was very well planned, the views, the overlooks, the points of interest, the Mansion-all very interesting. The tour guide was continuously giving interesting explanations, a lot of knowledge. The only downside was the last stop, at some adventure farm, with the horse and pony rides, and ATV carts. This was definitely not included in a tour description, and appropriate only for the families with children. The rest of us, adults, were just standing there among the dust, horse flies and mosquitoes, waiting for the tour completion.
Thanks very much for your feedback! We are glad you enjoyed your tour! Best regards!
Bad experience, uninteresting tour, uncomfortable bus and cleft the Guide not suitable to take a tour . In short very very bad I do not recommend it. Actually I better reserve greater negative comments to the lived experience....
Don’t waste your money with this tour. It’s not a hop on hop off experience, and it doesn’t go through the main sites of Arequipa. At the last stop they take you to a non sense place just to make you spend money on a four wheel or horses. The coordinator called us 30 mins before the departure that we needed to be more early at the departure point than agreed. I specifically asked a seat for handicap and they ignored all my requests. Terrible experience, look at other private tours to visit Arequipa. This one doesn’t take you to the main parts seen on sites or social media
They did not picked us from the hotel, but they remedy the mishap it by catching up with the bus. Also, keep an eye on what you paid; they charged us extra money for some items we paid, and they could not reimburse since we did not have a receipt. We missed some spots like the Molino of Sabandia because we were late (Winter weather), and they would not reimburse. It seems to be a pattern on this pre-paid tours. Travelers could dispute, but ... Still, the remaining experience was great.
Lovely day out of the city, we stopped at a couple of view points to see the view over the city and the Misti volcano (Yanahuara and Carmen Alto), our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The highlight was the visit of the Sabandia windmill at the end. We could not see the mansion del fundador as there was a private event but it was replaced with other stops (Incalpaca shop and farm).
