Zubayr, our guide, lives in the Medina and truly loves his city. He is so knowledgeable about the history, the people, the food, the culture, and the nature around it. We learned so much, and having this experience on our first day in Chefchaouen made navigating the area so much more comfortable for us. Zubayr is very observant and made sure to keep us hydrated and fed when our energy dipped. He took all the photos we could ever want to capture our time here, even bringing us to places he himself loves. He pointed out numerous types of trees growing in the area and brought us to so many stops. He answered all of our nonstop questions, gave us many great recommendations, and helped us understand everyday life here. At the end of the tour, he even went out of his way to walk us to a restaurant for dinner and make sure we got a table. Zubayr is a phenomenal guide and kind person, and I recommend everyone do this tour with him.
This tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and proficient in English which is a plus.. He took time to explain things and walked at our pace.
This was exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for in the blue pearl, Chefchaouen. Having a local guide with excellent English made it easy to ask questions, have meaningful conversations, and gain a deeper understanding of the city beyond what any guidebook could offer. What stood out most was his genuine passion for learning and sharing knowledge. Whether discussing history, architecture, religion, daily life, or local traditions, he provided thoughtful insights and welcomed every question with enthusiasm. It felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend who truly loves his city. As we wandered through the medina, he pointed out details I would have completely missed on my own and helped bring centuries of history to life. His explanations added context and meaning to every neighborhood, market, and monument we visited. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the invitation to share tea afterward. It was a wonderful opportunity to continue the conversation, learn more about Moroccan culture, and connect on a personal level. That simple gesture reflected the warmth and hospitality that Morocco is known for. If you're looking for an authentic, insightful, and friendly introduction to Morocco I highly recommend this tour. You'll leave with a greater appreciation for the city, its people, and its remarkable history.
Zoubair was very nice and he gives information about history, geography and even plants He also took many nice pictures Thank you
The night tour of Chefchaouen is truly enchanting: the blue city illuminated in the evening has a magical, peaceful, and authentic atmosphere. Charming alleys, stunning views, and Zoubs is an excellent local guide. A brief experience but absolutely worth doing!
Had a great time with Zoubir! He’s super friendly, patient, and knows everything about his city. We learned so much about the city and Morocco thanks to him. He also takes really great photos, which was a big plus. Highly recommend booking a tour with him!
What a delightful evening with Zoubs! Frank and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the gorgeous city of Chefchoen and hearing his descriptions of the extraordinary history of his community. The culture and beauty we saw along our walk will stay with us forever. He was both personable, kind and interesting, and we could ask for no better a guide through this fascinating city. We hope to return some day and we can reconnect with Zoubs, for as much as he was a terrific guide and representative, he was also just a great fellow who was willing to share his sharp insights and stories.
If you are visiting Morocco, a tour with Mohammed is an absolute must. He is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like an old friend from the moment you meet. What truly sets him apart, however, is his profound knowledge; his storytelling brings the history of Morocco and the winding, blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen to life in a way a guidebook simply can’t. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough it was the highlight of our trip. Merci Mohammed!
We had an amazing experience in Chefchaouen thanks to our guide, Zubir. We traveled with our family, and from the very beginning he made us feel welcome—not just like tourists, but like friends. Zubir showed us the beauty of Chefchaouen and the nearby areas, explaining the traditions and culture in a way that was easy to understand and really interesting. He also gave us great recommendations for where to eat authentic local food and helped us with transportation and logistics throughout our stay. What really made a difference was his kindness and care. Even when he wasn’t with us, he stayed in touch, shared useful contacts, and made sure we were always okay. He even checked that we arrived home safely after our trip. If you’re planning to visit Chefchaouen, I highly recommend choosing Zubir as your guide. He is professional, helpful, and genuinely a wonderful person to travel with.
