Promenade nocturne dans la nature, notre expérience nocturne consiste à rechercher dans la jungle des animaux nocturnes tels que des serpents, des grenouilles, des crapauds, des oiseaux et des poissons. Notre itinéraire se déroule sur une rivière au débit plat et peu profond, et il convient de noter que la distance est d'environ un kilomètre et demi dans chaque direction. Nous disposons de lampes de poche et de bottes de protection ; par conséquent, pour faire partie de notre aventure, vous n'aurez besoin que de vêtements confortables et d'une paire de bas pour bottes. Après avoir marché environ un kilomètre depuis l'endroit où nous avons laissé les voitures, nous arriverons à des cascades cristallines où nous chercherons la grenouille de verre qui y habite typiquement. En plus de rechercher ce précieux spécimen, nous pourrons nager dans les piscines naturelles de la cascade. Ensuite, nous nous rendrons dans la maison de la jungle appartenant à une adorable famille locale qui se fera un plaisir de nous ouvrir les portes de leur maison pour savourer un délicieux dîner. Notre guide accrédité vous retrouvera à la tête du seul restaurant de la chaîne alimentaire KFC à Jaco, Garabito Puntarenas. I was so happy and impressed with how much we saw during this tour, our guides where awesome and had a really good eye for looking for critters. Main highlight was spotting a Fer-de-lance snake!

This experience is awesome! They take you into the jungle with real locals who keep you safe from the infamous Fer de Lance!! Their professional grade equipment makes seeing animals like sloths easier. Enrique/Gerald was an amazing tour guide who was super knowledgeable about all the animals and even helped me practice my Spanish!! The food was ‘aight.

This was such a fun activity. We would have never ventured out on our own in a jungle after dark in Costa Rica. We saw some pretty cool things and dinner was delicious. The guides were kind and friendly.

Amazing family evening! We took our kids (8 and 9) on the night hike with Geriold. It started with a trip to a hidden beach where we saw a sloth. It was high up in the tree but we learned about the local flora/fauna while we waited for the sloth to move. Afterwards, we went to a jungle nearby where we did about a 1km hike. We saw a bunch of animals/insects/arachnids. It ended at a waterfall! Would definitely recommend if your family enjoys animals and learning about the Costa Rican rainforest. Dinner was great too!
The drive to the hike spot was erie, but once you arrive and get settled, you realize it’s all part of the fun and experience. Gerald was an amazing tour guide, who had a lot of knowledge about the area, and a great respect for the animals and environment. If you’re someone who loves nature, and *ALL* it has to offer (expected and unexpected), this is a great tour to participate in. My family and I (an 11 year old and two 18 year olds) had an extraordinary time, and would absolutely do this again if we find ourselves in the area in the future. Thank you for your expertise and care, Gerald!!
This was our first activity and tour of our time in Costa Rica - it was an amazing way to start off our trip! Geriold was in quick communication and was flexible with some of the details which was a big help. He and his co-guide José were incredibly polite and knowledgeable throughout the tour. I don't know how they spotted some of what they did, but if there are things to see, you can bet you'll see them with those two! One of our party asked about sloths and Geriold took us out of the normal loop and found us two! We saw a variety of critters from snakes, centipedes, spiders, frogs, toads, owls, other bugs, and a scorpion (bring a UV light and they're easier to see!). We felt safe throughout the experience. You can tell they love nature and enjoy what they do and it was really just a great time. Ending the hike with a beer and a decent meal was just a cap to the experience. Would highly recommend and if back in the area would go again

Bring bug spray and a change of clothes to swim! Also wear lightweight pants and shirts for bugs!! Great experience!
