Everything great, very attentive and friendly

Our Auschwitz tour was cancelled at short notice. We were then offered a significantly more expensive and inferior tour on a different day, which we had to pay extra for. Viator acknowledged that the situation was not handled properly, but refused to offer any compensation. Although the original tickets were refunded, we are very disappointed with the overall experience and how the situation was handled.

This is an important point that you can mention objectively. The revised review would read as follows: Unfortunately, the organization of the tour caused confusion for us. Only after booking did we realize that the tour necessarily includes the transfer from Krakow to Auschwitz. Since our accommodation was already in Auschwitz, this was impractical for us. I overlooked this when booking and tried to find a solution with the provider afterward. After several messages and phone calls, a compromise was offered, but communication was partly difficult due to language barriers. Additionally, the indication of a "7-hour tour" caused misunderstandings for us. We assumed that a large part of this time would be available for visiting the memorial site. In fact, the specified duration also includes the journey to and from Krakow to Auschwitz, so significantly less time remains for the visit itself. This was not sufficiently clear to us from the description. We were also disappointed by the nature of the visit. From the description, we had the impression that a German-speaking guide or at least an accompanied audio tour would be offered. In fact, the visit was conducted with a printed booklet, based on which one had to read about the individual stations themselves. Although a self-guided tour was announced, we expected something different – for example, an audio guide, an app, or digital content to accompany the visit. Additionally, only about two and a half hours were planned for Auschwitz and Birkenau in total. In our opinion, this time is clearly too short to visit both camps at a leisurely pace, absorb the information, and do justice to the historical site.

We booked for 12:30 but i got a message from the driver the night before stating that pick up would be 13:50, obviously i was a bit peeved as why book a time, then change pick up?It Felt like time was wasted driving between Birkenau and Auschwitz, only to be dropped off at Auschwitz and needing to get a shuttle bus to Birkenhau!! Wasn't allowed in Birkenhau until 17:00 and Auschwitz 17:50, which closes for admissions at 18:00, luckily the museum was open until 19:30 so could still explore. A long day that could have been executed better, I’m guessing because we were self guided rather than a guided tour. Overall, still a must see experience

That the schedule changes systematically and considerably reduces the visit time. The carrier is not responsible for this change. Viator should advise of the strong possibility of changing schedules. This inconvenience disrupted our general planning of the visit and stay.

Booked for 12.30pm pick up, they changed it to 1.40pm. Arrived at Birkenau around 3.45pm and given 10 minutes to look at an original railway carriage that had transported Jews. Then taken to Auschwitz but tickets were for 5.10pm, so had to hang around for nearly an hour before being able to enter. We were told about the busses that would take us to Birkenau and return us but with so little time left we did not even see all of Auschwitz before being picked up at 7.20pm for return journey to Krakow. very disappointed at not having the full experience.

Had a lovely driver who was knowledgeable, Austwich was an experience never to forget and a solemn reminder of the atrocious treatment there. Unfortunately our time had to be changed later in the day which was out of the organisers control but this meant we didn't have enough time to go to Birkenhau. It would have been better to have picked us up earlier so we could have visited Birkenhau first and then Autzwich, so we didn't have the full experience offered.

This was a very moving and thought-provoking trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau – a place everyone should visit at least once to better understand history and pay tribute to the victims. The tour was well organized, and the guide shared knowledge in a clear and respectful way. Special thanks to the driver – very kind, helpful, and professional, which made the journey smooth and comfortable. The trip was affordably priced and definitely worth it. Everything went smoothly, in a calm and appropriate atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit this important place with a well-organized group.

Very professional and punctual, gave us guide books and stopped to explain a bit of history before we went in as it was self guided tour. Highly recommended
