Best tour guide ever
Chris Kelly gave us a wonderful tour of York packed with fascinating information and insights. One of the best tours I have ever had. He was witty, passionate and generous with his time. Highly recommended!

Excellent Tour
A perfect way to see the sites of York. Visited all the historic places you would want to on a 2 hour walk. The guide was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and informative with a passion for history. Seeing as its a free tour it was excellent. A tip is expected at the end, but very well deserved!

The best way to kick off your stay in York! A memorable historical walking tour.
Chris brought York’s history to life for us over an entertaining 3 hour tour of the “best bits” of that history. Some sites we expected and others were wonderful historical gems shared. Chris is not only well read on British history, but has a knack for story telling that makes it all fit together. A neat historical rubik cube!

A must have
absolutely wonderful tour, funny, witty and extremely informative. very talented guide. Difficult to concentrate so much in so little time but he accomplished that perfectly. He showed us hidden gems of York. absolutely recommended to get an overview of the city before starting the actual visit

Guided tour York
Dirk was very friendly. He picked us up at our hotel (even though it was outside the range of normal pickup locations for this tour). He has great historical knowledge and had some recommendations and funny and interesting stories to tell. It was a good experience!

Great way to see York!
Our guide Chris was fantastic. He went above and beyond to show us York and especially the not so touristy areas. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge and full of energy keeping us engaged during the tour.

Brilliant walking tour in york
The tour was really good and informative and the guide really engaging. The principle of the company is that these experiences should be available to all regardless of means, so the tour is free with the request that if you wish to make a contribution and the end then it would be gratefully received. It was very much worth a contribution and we were happy to be able to do so but would not have felt pressured if we could not. It was really great to walk around the city to hear the information and stories of the area.
