L'Empire Majapahit, l'un des plus grands empires de l'histoire de l'Indonésie, offre de nombreux héritages qui façonnent la culture indonésienne, en particulier à Java et à Bali. Tout au long de l’histoire de l’Indonésie, Majapahit a été mentionnée à plusieurs reprises comme preuve de l’ampleur de son influence. Plusieurs royaumes utilisent même leur nom pour légitimer leur pouvoir envers les habitants de Java. De nombreux scripts et reliques ont été découverts et constituent désormais les seules choses qui restent de Majapahit qui peuvent être explorées comme souvenir de l'influence et de la taille de l'empire Majapahit. Et à travers ce voyage, nous vous amènerons à faire un voyage dans le passé. Apprenez un peu d'histoire sur Majapahit et imprégnez-vous de la culture laissée par cet empire en visitant plusieurs ruines et musées.

Imposantes portes en briques rouges de 15 mètres de haut datant du XIVe au XVe siècle. Ici, nous vous amènerons à regarder de plus près et à explorer la structure de ce site qui fait que l'historien le décrit comme une porte plutôt que comme un temple.
Autrefois considéré comme le crématorium du roi décédé, ce temple en briques rouges a été construit avant même que Majapahit n'existe. Comme son nom l'indique, cet endroit est un lieu sacré et encore utilisé pendant la période Majapahit. C'est pourquoi nous vous amènerons ici pour explorer pourquoi la théorie selon laquelle cet endroit serait le crématorium était en grande partie fausse.
Partageant également le même sort que Wringin Lawang, ce site est considéré comme la porte menant à quelque chose de sacré en raison de sa forme. Ici, nous allons vous faire visiter et voir le site merveilleux qui influence l'architecture à Bali.
Nommé d'après son état lors des fouilles, le temple de Tikus était en fait un site de baignade pour la famille royale avant de faire un rituel ou juste pour le plaisir. Nous verrons lors de notre visite et explorerons le site.

Ryan was waiting for us as we exited the cruise terminal. He was such a wonderful driver and guide, funny, knowledgeable, and willing to adapt to anything we wanted to do. From pick up to drop off the trip went very smoothly. Expert driving through the traffic, even finding a rat run to avoid a bad jam caused by a broken down lorry. The religious sites and museums were beautiful and close together. The guide was humorous with excellent English ,with a depth of knowledge of the various religions.

We had a fantastic half day tour with Ryan. He was on time and easy to find at port. We went to 4 different Candi temples which were very nice. Highlight was meeting a large group of school children at one of them. Highly recommended Ryan.

We really enjoyed this tour of sites from the Majahapit Empire. Our guide Fajar and driver Rudy picked us up on time from the cruise terminal. Fajar was friendly, knowledgeable, and his English was excellent. He gave us a detailed explanation of each site and was able to answer all of our questions. The sites we visited were all beautifully manicured and well-maintained. Our driver Rudy was a good driver and got us back to the port in plenty of time.

Our driver/guide, Nael, was punctual and knowledgeable and provided a wealth of fascinating information—not only about the tour locations but also about Indonesia’s culture, customs, and traditions. This tour was a great introduction to the ancient history of Indonesia. Visiting the archeological ruins provided a foundation for understanding the evolution of architecture styles in the various regions of the country. Ryan was an outstanding guide and teacher. He was very conscientious in making sure we were comfortable and was able to answer all questions. He was especially helpful for my friend who has some mobility issues.
