Cette visite vous ramènera il y a des milliers d'années aux premiers groupes de personnes qui aient jamais vécu sur l'île de Santorin. Vous aurez l'occasion de visiter les 3 sites archéologiques les plus importants de l'île, de comprendre l'histoire et l'importance de Santorin en tant que lieu et de vous initier à l'histoire de la Grèce antique.

Itinéraire
Cette ancienne ville est située au sommet de la montagne, appelée Mesa Vouno. Nous atteindrons près de 400 mètres d'altitude et admirerons cette ville antique fondée par Théras au 9ème siècle avant JC !
Datant du 5ème millénaire avant JC, cette ville est une révélation! Vous serez sans aucun doute étonné par le niveau de sophistication très élevé de cette ancienne communauté grecque, comptant de nombreuses réalisations culturelles et techniques. Au cours de cette visite, vous serez accompagné par un guide professionnel/licencié qui vous fera une visite privée à l'intérieur d'Akrotiri (durée : 1,5h min).
Le Musée de la Théra préhistorique enrichira nos connaissances car là, nous aurons l'occasion d'admirer toutes les découvertes des fouilles d'Akrotiri, ainsi que d'autres sites importants de l'île.

Had a wonderful time at the sites, enriched by the information from our guide Tasos. His itinerary was well thought out, helping us avoid the worst of the heat. The licensed archeologist at Akrotiri really brought the city to life as well, and the museum was a good 45 minutes of air conditioned historical appreciation.

Tasos was an incredible guide. Pickup in Oia, communication and narrative were excellent. The venues were stunning. Ancient Thira was breathtaking for mountain top scenery and extensive ruins you walk through. The small museum in Fira has many of the artifacts and frescos recovered from Akrotiri - take the time to notice the frescos and the unique finds - they will be discussed and located by your guide in Akrotiri. Then Akrotiri - wow. The scale and age of what has been uncovered is surreal. Our guide Giannis is an archeologist and was outstanding. Overall - a fantastic tour, well operated and interesting. Highly recommend.

One of the best tours we have ever taken, anywhere around the world. Guide Ted was knowledgeable about everything on Santorini and our archeological guide at akortiri was fantastic also. First rate customer service. Trip to Thira ruins on mountain is a lot of walking, but worth it as the ruins are as good a site you will see almost anywhere. Akortiri was unbelievable. Highly recommend!
