Visitez les incroyables appartements d'État et la belle ville de Windsor sur les rives de la Tamise. * DE PLUS, nous nous arrêtons à l’historique Runnymede pour voir les monuments commémoratifs de JFK et Magna Carta. (qui n’est pas offert sur la plupart des excursions d’une demi-journée à Windsor.) ** PLUS la possibilité d'être escorté au palais et aux jardins de Kensington au retour au centre de Londres. Ceci étant l'ancienne maison de la princesse Diana et de ses garçons les princes William & Harry. Ce circuit peut également être personnalisé en fonction de vos besoins, y compris un arrêt déjeuner ou peut-être une escale depuis l'aéroport d'Heathrow.

Itinéraire
Nous visitons le magnifique château de Windsor, la maison familiale des rois et reines britanniques depuis plus de 1000 ans. La taille du château de 13 acres est à couper le souffle, & est le plus grand et le plus ancien château occupé dans le monde & c'est là que Sa Majesté la reine Elizabeth II a choisi de passer la plupart de son temps & a appelé la maison. Vous pourriez même programmer votre visite lorsque le nouveau roi Charles III sera en résidence! Regardez le drapeau flottant de la tour ronde du château; si c'est l'étendard royal, le roi sera là aussi.
Nous marchons ensuite le long de la Tamise en regardant les bateaux et la faune, y compris "Les Cygnes du Roi" et traversons le pont qui sépare Windsor du Collège d'Eton, l'ancienne école privée du Prince William.
Nous visitons la petite ville de Windsor immédiatement après avoir quitté le château. Nous visitons les rues pittoresques et les magasins (y compris la plus petite rue du Royaume-Uni). Nous voyons également l'entrée Longue Marche du Château et une vue vers Frogmore, où le Prince Harry & Megan résidaient autrefois!
PLUS Sur le chemin de Windsor ou au retour, nous visitons les monuments commémoratifs de JF Kennedy et Magna Carta. Le mémorial de JFK se trouve sur un acre de terre désigné aux États-Unis par le Royaume-Uni en souvenir de l'un des plus grands dirigeants des temps modernes. La statue Magna Carta a été conçue en 1957 pour honorer la démocratie et la liberté. La charte, signée pour la première fois ici en 1215 par le roi Jean, est honorée par le barreau américain jusqu'à ce jour.
Faites de Kensington Palace votre point de chute et peut-être y déjeuner dans les jardins ou restaurants exceptionnels en revenant au centre de Londres. Kensington Palace est l'endroit où la princesse Diana a vécu et où le prince William et la princesse Catherine ont résidé avec leur jeune famille avant de déménager à Windsor. Nous vous promènerons à travers les jardins royaux de Kensington et vous présenterons le palais et les terrains. * L'entrée au Palais et au musée est facultative et sur billet seulement.

I highly recommend Barry Tours UK. We had a lovely tour of Windsor with Barry, who provided a lot of local commentary and historical context. He managed to get us fast-tracked from the long lines to optimize our time. Unbeknownst to us, we were amidst history in the making as King Charles hosted President Zelensky at Windsor Castle while we explored the State Apartments. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a leisurely lunch in Windsor, at a pub on the River Thames. On the way back to London, we made a historic stop at Runnymede, which is not to be missed. Barry was warm, friendly, engaged in his work and quite exceptional.

Barry is a great host for touring London and surrounding areas. He is very accommodating and brings a lot of personal history to the areas we visited. He made every detail (including pictures) of the trip easy and convenient and even made personal reservations for us at a great restaurant on the Thames. We plan on utilizing him again for the next trip to London!

Barry was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and accommodating when he spent the day with our family of 5. He thoughtfully planned our itinerary so that there were no surprises and kept the attention of an 18, 16 and 10 year old simultaneously! We will book him again for our next visit for sure.

My family enjoyed the private Windsor tour with Barry in his London black cab. It was a perfect day! As a London black cab driver, Barry is an iconic, highly trained professional who has passed the rigorous exam to memorize thousands of streets and landmarks. His amazing knowledge was on display during our detailed, personal tour through London on the way there and back and in Windsor castle, Windsor, Eton and Kensington gardens. Barry, hearing that we had just seen Paddington the musical and were big fans, made a quick photo stop at a Paddington bear statue with an iconic phone booth in the background before dropping us home as an extra bonus. He took lots of great family photos throughout the day and made the entire experience very memorable!

5 star guided tour!! Barry is super knowledgeable about Windsor and the Castle. In fact he’s a wealth of knowledge on a lot of topics, some you’ll see in the history books and some you won’t! Barry also gave us a great tour of Belgravia on the way out to Windsor. We also had my 83 year old mum with us and she was getting a bit tired and he took extremely good care of her. We finished up the tour with a fab lunch at the boatman and stopped off to see where the Magna Carta was signed in Runnymede. Highly recommend Barry Tours !!

We booked the private Windsor tour with Barry, who picked us up at our hotel. Barry was very informative and an excellent tour guide, he even took photos of our group at key locations throughout the day. For lunch, Barry had reserved us a spot at the Boatman restaurant in which the food was delicious! Overall, I would highly recommend Barry and his tour for when you visit London.
