From the moment we contacted Ludo by email to the time he dropped us off again in Rome and every moment in between we were treated like beloved family! My “second mom” hadn’t been back to Naples where she started her married life and had two sons for many years. Ludo listened to her stories of where she loved (lived), had her boys and then surprised us with a customized walk down memory lane! This in addition to a wonderful local expert on Pompeii & The Veiled Christ, Luca, who grew up looking out his bedroom window into the museum and shared the deep mysteries of its conception in vivid detail then found THE best local lunch spot for us. Our trip down the Amalphi Coast with Salvatore that ended in a delightful afternoon lunch in Ravello away from the maddening crowds of the Amalphi Coast. It wasn’t simply their knowledge, or responsive service that makes you love being with them, it is their passion and humble pride in the unique and rich history of Naples that they so freely share. For anyone on the NCL Breakaway cruise through the Mediterranean, I have a great tour operator to recommend for the west coast of Italy. We used Naples Tour Service (NTS) in our Naples and Florence port stops. The pick up and drop off was flawless and the tour itself in both cities was outstanding with the tour guide who provided a local’s input into the history of the city and not just the places to see and eat. We tried ItalyTours for our own Rome port stop just to compare tour operators and I’ll honestly tell you it’s so much different. The ItalyTours guide did not say anything in between the drive from the port and Rome. I guess that’s ok if you want to just sleep but for first timers in the given city, it’s nice to know the history and personal point of view from the tour guide. I’ll also add that the private party cost with NTS was about the same if not cheaper than the semi private party cost with ItalyTours. I walked away from the NTS tours with a sense of friendship with the tour guide. ItalyTours was ok but we would expect more from private tour guides. I highly recommend NTS to anyone visiting Italy. This was a magnificent tour. Ludovico has a wealth of knowledge of the area. He was always easy to reach and communicate with. He picked us up at the train station, adjusting his schedule to accommodate our changing itinerary. Brought us to Pompeii, arranged a tour then gave us wonderful tour of Naples. We are a family from the US that booked a private tour through Naples Tour service. Getting information about what was provided and booking the excursion was simple. We arrived via cruise ship at the port and Ludovico was awaiting right as we walked off the ship when a luxury van to take us around. They had a private guide, Carlo, tour us around Pompeii, who was very informative, and I highly recommend, as your experience through Pompeii is more educational. Ludo then drove us to a water front restaurant where we had amazing tasting pizza. He then took us sight seeing with photo stops along the way, as well as a shopping district where we had time to browse. I would definitely recommend Ludo and his crew to anyone wishing to visit Naples.

We used Napoli private tour services for a number of tours FirstlyLudovico and Salvatore are extremely helpful and knowledgeable nothing is too much trouble We did both transfers to and from Rome tp Naples appartment. We also did a walking tour of the provate historic centre of Napoli, the next day we did a day tour to the wine tasting areas of Avelino beautiful part of Campania and we had a local agritourism Lunch - all was excellent. Then we did a morning tour of Herculaneum which was amazing. Always driven lin great clean vans all air con ( it was soooo hot) and with Beverly knowledgeable guides Overall I feel I left Napoli having made very good friends with Ludivico and Salvatore. I cannot recommend this Company enough. Arrangements were made in advance of our cruise via Ludovico and prompt response were received to any questions via email. Details were really clear so we were in no doubt what to expect when we arrived in Port. Our driver Salvatore was fabulous. He drove us to Pompeii where we met Francesco who showed us around as much of Pompeii as he could squeeze into the few hours we had. The time flew by and was fascinating. Then back to Naples for a private tour seeing parts of the city that we would never have seen without a local guide. We were treated to insights about the city, it's history and saw some jaw dropping views. A truly fabulous day that was a highlight of our trip.
