Sheldon and Dell were great guides! Sharing falls facts, taking pictures and highlighting the best ways to see the falls. Was a wonderful experience!
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear Sheldon and Dell made your experience memorable with their knowledge, photo assistance, and helpful guidance. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon!
This adventure went as planned. Pickup was on time. Border crossing from Zimbabwe to Zambia & return was very crowded & disorganized, so having help from the guides was a very good thing. The falls are beautiful, but this year, at least, in late June, you will get soaked, despite the rain gear supplied. Make sure anything you carry is waterproof. My leather bag was totally wet, including cash & passports! Still it's worth the effort & the private tour was really good.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear everything went as planned and that our guides made the busy border crossing much easier. June is indeed one of the most spectacular times to experience Victoria Falls, and the spray can be intense! We appreciate your helpful tip for future travelers to bring waterproof bags for valuables. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!
Our guide Shelton was great. Once he passed us to the guide on the Zambian side, she walked us over and then said she had another tour with the other company she works for, she left us to do the tour on our own, told us she'd come back, she never did. Based on that I should rate lower, but Shelton was really great so I'd still recommend, hopefully they work with more reliable guides on the Zambian side in the future. Thanks Shelton!
Thank you for your honest feedback and for your kind words about Shelton. We're delighted to hear he made a positive impression. We sincerely apologize for your experience on the Zambian side, as this is not the level of service we aim to provide. Your comments have been noted, and we'll address this with our local partner to ensure a better experience for future guests. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again.
We booked a combined guided walking tour on the Zambian and Zimbabwian side, which we would highly recommend. The Company organized everything for us, from pick up at tbe hotel, water, raincoats and the transfer at the border. Everything worked perfectly. Mike was our guide on the Zambian side, and he was very knowledgeable on the falls, the history and Zambia overall. He told us when to put on our flip flops, so we would not get too wet, and made sure we had the best experience. View on the falls was wonderful, although you see more from Zimbabwe. Still woth seeing. Most fun was to see the Zambuan visitors, they love nothing more than getting soaking wet. Interestingly, most visitors on the Zambian side were Zambian, compared to the Zimbabwian side, where most are Foreigners. Our guide in ZW was Michael, he was very knowkedgeable too, and we had great experience. Also all was taken care off. Is it worth booking the walking tour? Absolutely. We learned so much from our guides that would not be in a guidebook
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you had a seamless experience and enjoyed exploring both the Zimbabwe and Zambia sides of the Falls. It's great to know that Mike and Michael made your tour informative, enjoyable, and hassle-free. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable adventure in the future!
Enjoyed this tour thoroughly with Shelton as our guide. Visited Victoria falls at a leisurely pace, with lots of stops and photo opportunities. Could not visit the Zambia side due to visa requirement, only went upto the bridge. At the end of the tour had lunch at the look out cafe, which was a great experience by itself. The whole experience was elevated due to the Agency, Akost Safari and the guide, who were very flexible and easy going. Highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your tour with Shelton. It was a pleasure guiding you at a leisurely pace and ensuring you had plenty of opportunities to take in the beauty of Victoria Falls and capture memorable photos. While we couldn't visit the Zambia side due to the visa requirements, we're glad you still enjoyed the experience, including the views from the bridge and the memorable lunch at The Lookout Café. At Akost Safaris, we strive to be flexible, friendly, and accommodating, so your kind words truly mean a lot to us. Thank you for choosing Akost Safaris and for highly recommending our tour. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Southern Africa!
We would highly recommend this private tour to see both sides of the falls. Shelton was an excellent guide on the Zim side, full of local knowledge, history and entertaining conversation and Lucky looked after us on the Zam side. If you come during high water season then expect to get really wet from the mist on both sides during the tour as it’s all part of the experience and both guides provided long waterproof jackets to keep most of our clothes dry (but don’t wear your best footwear as your shoes will be squelching by the end of the tour!)
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring both sides of the Falls with Shelton and Lucky. Sharing the history, local knowledge, and unique perspectives of Victoria Falls is what we love most. High water season certainly brings an extra adventure, and we're glad the waterproof jackets helped you enjoy the experience despite the mist! Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Victoria Falls again someday.
Had the guided tour with Shelton and Mike. They were patient with us during the walks and also helped to settled the logistics for travelling across the border and moving around Victoria Falls. Just make sure to bring comfortable waterproof shoes or sandals as there is quite a bit of walking and there's a good chance you may get wet.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a great experience with Shelton and Mike. We’re glad they could assist with the border logistics and ensure you had a comfortable and enjoyable tour of Victoria Falls. Thank you as well for the helpful tip about waterproof footwear—it’s definitely worth being prepared for the walks and the spray from the Falls! We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again in the future.
What a great trip! When you go to Vic Falls, BOTH sides are really a must to get the best views. Especially Shelton was the best Guide! He gave wonderful Infos, showed all and everything, explained also the little things - always being super smart.

The guide Michael was very helpful and very informative throughout the experience but when Indian people visit here they will have a problem with visa they can only see Zimbabwe side but not the Zambia side.So only one side of the falls will be visible.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are delighted to hear that Michael was helpful and informative throughout your tour. We also appreciate your feedback regarding visa requirements. Visa regulations can vary depending on nationality, and in some cases travelers may face limitations when crossing between Zimbabwe and Zambia. We always do our best to provide guidance on visa options before the tour, but we encourage guests to check the latest visa requirements in advance to ensure they can enjoy both sides of the Falls. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you again in the future for another memorable experience.
