Maura gave us a great tour of Perugia. She was engaging and extremely knowledgable and was able to show us around the major sights and explain the history and art of the city. Highly recommended!
Maura is a fantastic tour guide, so knowledgeable and entertaining. Umbria has beautiful towns and cities, and Maura brings their history alive. We first booked her for Perugia, but we were so impressed we went later to Assisi, Gubbio, Orvieto and Spoleto. Thank you !
We could not feel more fortunate to have learned about Perugia from Maura. She is infinitely knowledgeable about Perugia:its history, art, architecture, monuments. She guided us to the most charming patisserie for a macchiato, and taught us about chocolate, a passion of ours. She is so very lovely. We plan to return so that she can create meaningful visits for us in Spello and Spoleto. Maura is a gift to Umbria as well as its tourists!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a beautiful and generous review. It was truly a pleasure exploring Perugia together and sharing its history, art and little local traditions with you. I especially enjoyed our stop for coffee and chocolate - it is always wonderful to meet guests who are curious not only about the monuments but also about the authentic flavors and passions that make Umbria so special. Your words mean a great deal to me, and I feel very lucky to have met such thoughtful and enthusiastic travelers. I will be delighted to welcome you back and help you discover Spello and Spoleto on your next visit! Until then, thank you again for your kindness and for choosing to spend your time in Umbria with me.
Beautiful places and the guide Maura Baldoni was very professional. He followed us with passion and dedication at all times.
Grazie Angela, alla prossima!
If You’re Touring Umbria Without Maura Baldoni, You’re Doing It Wrong. Let me shout this from the medieval rooftops of Perugia and the sacred stones of Assisi: Maura Baldoni is the ultimate Umbrian tour guide. Hands down, no contest, she’s in a league of her own. We’ve hired Maura not once, but twice—and I’m telling you now, she’ll be our go-to for every single Umbrian adventure from here on out. Why? Because Maura isn’t just a tour guide… she’s a master storyteller, a historian with a poet’s soul, a professor with a passion that pulses through every cobblestone and cathedral she introduces you to. With degrees in languages and the arts, and a professorship in Perugia, Maura's brain is a treasure chest—but her gift lies in how she brings it all to life. Ever had a guide make you feel like you were dropped into a living, breathing movie? That’s Maura. She doesn’t just tell you history—she weaves it, paints it, and serves it like a rich, slow-cooked Umbrian stew. One minute you’re in the present, the next, you’re ensorcelled—completely transported to another time. Two hours fly by like magic, and you’re left wanting more. She folds juicy, delicious little stories into history like a flaky sfogliatella—layered, surprising, and oh-so-satisfying. And here’s the thing—Maura makes you feel like the smartest person in the room. She doesn’t lecture, she dances with your curiosity. Every question you ask? She makes it feel like the most intuitive, insightful question ever posed. It’s a true gift. Beyond the history and the heart, Maura introduces you to local artists and shops, giving you an authentic, behind-the-scenes taste of Umbrian life. You don’t just see Umbria—you feel it, touch it, live it. Her depth of knowledge about art, artifacts, and the tapestry that is Italian culture is truly soul-nourishing. It’s why people fall in love with Italy—and why you’ll fall in love with Maura too. She’s beauty inside and out, and once you’ve toured with her, every other guide will feel like a pale shadow. Next stop: Spello and Spoleto—with Maura, of course.
Vivian, I have no words to say THANK YOU for such an incredible review!!! You are a true poet! ... And you know what?!... I felt it from the very first instant of our meeting! "Kindred Spirits". I miss you and I hope we will meet again soon!!! Grazie
Maura was a fantastic tour guide. She knows so much about the history of Perugia, brings an enthusiasm to her explanations and is a lovely warm friendly person. We enjoyed our tour so much that we hired her again for a tour of Assisi. Our experience with Maura brought both cities to life in a way we could never have gotten on our own. She is a gem and knows so much about each place yet was never boring. We were fascinated for the entire duration of the tours. She also made great suggestions for lunch and gelato. I felt like we had made a new friend. Don’t hesitate to book with her.
Thank you for the fantastic review!... and thank you for chosing two tours of mine! Your enthusiasm has made my day!!!
Maura is the best! We so enjoyed our time with her. Friendly, smart and knowledgeable, Maura showed us the city and then regaled us with stories of the town over lunch. I highly recommend spending the day with her. It was a highlight of our trip!!

My wife and I had the great pleasure of being given a guided tour of Perugia by Maura yesterday. It was brilliant from start to finish. Maura is so passionate and knowledgeable about Umbrian history and has such a warm, charming personality. It felt like we were in the company of an old friend, even though we had never met her before! You must book Maura if you are visiting Umbria. You will not be disappointed. Our guided tour of Perugia will live long in our memory. Brava Maura!
I LOVE Perugia! It is an amazing town of incredible trasures and incomparable seductive beauty... It was awsome to share with you its hidden emotional secrets and its dreamy scenaries.. Thank you
Maura guided us on several excursions through Assisi, Perugia, Gubbio, and more during our stay in the area. She is so delightful and knowledgeable! She engaged us and our three young children and shared so many fascinating facts about the places we visited; she really brought history to life and added greatly to the enchantment of these medieval cities. We had such wonderful experiences during our days together. We did not want it to end and were sad to say goodbye, but hope to meet up again next time we are there. We highly recommend Maura--you will learn so many things and feel so fortunate to have her as your guide!
"Whereever you go, go with all your heart"! This is my motto. Thank you for your sweet hearts and appreciation of my job. You made me feel like family and I loved spending my time with you. Unforgettable memories! Grazie.
