Jack is an exceptional guide. I was quite particular in what I wanted - a tour on Historic Chelsea Village including on the history of three/four streets which I had relayed to Jack in advance. Jack was extremely well prepared and knowledgeable and really made it bespoke - and is a super nice guy too. I cannot recommend him more highly, and look forward to the next occasion. Thank you!
Hans Sloane info, Chelsea Hospital, Duke of York Barracks redevelopment, Cheyne Walk were good. he kept us enterttained thru wind and rain and recommended a good pub for lunch. Great local color!
Having spent quite a bit of time in London, I wanted to get a different view of the city's history that I wasn't familiar with. The Chelsea tour hit the mark! Rock n' roll legends, footballers, important religious, political, and historical figures have littered the streets of Chelsea. I learned so much and the guide was incredible and has lived in the area his whole life. This tour was the perfect activity before my first trip to Stamford Bridge to see a Chelsea match. Cant recommend enough!
Jack was a wonderful and charming guide. He knew the neighborhood and the history very well. He was thoughtful and answered all questions we had. He also made lunch reservations for us at a great restaurant. Highly recommend to all visiting London to take his tours.
We had a wonderful experience on the Chelsea walking tour with Jack. He is born and bred in this area and knows it like the back of his hand. Without him we would have (and did) walk right by the shop now know as the "Worlds End" on Kings Road - run by Vivienne Westwood which was the iconic "Sex" back in the punk days. Each of the family members found a treasure in there and have a great story to share. He had knowledge and entertaining stories about all corners of Chelsea and packed a lot into the tour. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for your review Jason! It was an absolute pleasure to show you and your family around Chelsea - it really is such a special neighbourhood, and it's always wonderful to get to reveal the secrets of the place I grew up to guests who appreciate it so much!
We had a blast on this walking tour of Chelsea! Jack kept us engaged the whole time with interesting anecdotes and charismatic storytelling, and tailored our tour to suit our curiosities. I especially loved learning the rock n' roll history of Chelsea, mixed in with royal and military history. Jack also added a personal touch to the tour having grown up in Chelsea, and he was able to point out quirks of the neighbourhood and its buildings that other tour guides may have missed. Having lived in London for 2 years myself, I learned a lot and saw the city with fresh eyes - I would recommend this tour for locals and tourists alike.
Thank you so much Charlotte! It's always a pleasure to show guests around where I grew up, and very fortunately it's a fascinating place - glad to hear you enjoyed the tour.
The guide was really well informed and I had a fantastic time a seeing the sights of Chelsea. Highly recommend! Really to straightforward to organise and great communication in the lead up to the tour.
Thank you so much, was a pleasure to show you around Chelsea!
My favourite part was being guided by a proper native Chelsea Londoner. Jack had all the information, quirky spots, meaningful insights and sense of humour to boot. I really didn't expect it to be so memorable, nor engaging because let's face it, history can be made dull really easily. He included fun facts about rockstars and transformations of unlikely spaces through engaging cultural stories. Jacks unequivocal style and knowledge meant we go off-piste during conversations which gave the whole tour a really multidimensional fullness. I left the tour feeling like we had done archaeology in Chelsea together which I'll never forget! Thank you, Jack and good luck! Hope I can do more tours soon...
Thank you so much - wonderful to hear you enjoyed the unique approach to Chelsea's history, it's a fascinating place! Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Engaging and fun tour of Chelsea! I had always heard about Chelsea but didn't know much about it aside from the beautiful Sloane Square so it was great to have someone who has grown up in London telling us its incredibly varied history. From its royals connections right up to the Rolling Stones and Bowie, Chelsea has so much more than meets the eye and Jack is a brilliant storyteller. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much for leaving this great review Daisy - it was wonderful to explore some of the incredible tales Chelsea has to offer with you, and I hope to see you again soon!
Jack is energetic and engaging. The time flew by and I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in cultural history. We learned things you’d never know unless you have a guide. 5/5 from me!
Thank you so much for such high praise! It's wonderful how even places we see everyday hold so many fantastic secrets and stories. I hope to see you again soon!
