Ensuite, votre guide vous montrera un merveilleux clocher qui domine tout le site du monastère. (en option, moyennant un supplément) Le point culminant de cette excursion est la visite de la laure des Grottes de Kiev, un lieu où vivaient autrefois des moines ermites. Elle est aujourd'hui ouverte au public et accueille bon nombre de visiteurs du monde entier qui y viennent pour vénérer les saintes reliques des saints. Vous obtiendrez une foule d'informations intéressantes sur la vie et les traditions des moines, ainsi que sur le rôle de la laure dans la vie de la capitale. Vous trouverez également divers musées sur le site de la laure, tels que le musée de l'impression des livres et le musée des microminiatures. Vous pourrez les visiter pendant votre temps libre après la visite. La collection unique de musée présente de minuscules œuvres d'art à admirer sous la loupe. Il s'agit du travail du célèbre artisan Mykola Syadristy. *En option, le musée est fermé le mardi.
L'un des points forts de la laure supérieure est un clocher de 96 mètres qui domine le site du monastère. *Visite en option.
Une ancienne église, située dans la partie nord de la laure est un monument important de l'architecture.

- Convient à toutes les conditions physiques
- Une tenue vestimentaire appropriée est exigée pour entrer sur le site de la laure des Grottes de Kiev. Les shorts et les débardeurs ne sont pas autorisés. Les genoux et les épaules doivent être couverts aussi bien chez les hommes que chez les femmes. Les femmes doivent se recouvrir la tête d'un fichu ou d'un foulard. L'entrée peut vous être refusée si vous ne respectez pas ce code vestimentaire.
- La laure des Grottes de Kiev ferme à 16:30 en été et à 15:30 en hiver.
- Cette balade comprend des surfaces irrégulières, veuillez porter des chaussures confortables

Very nice and spacious complex. Here you have to plan some time, but is absolutely worth seeing. In any case, you have to visit!
Lots of pretty art to see on the interior and exterior of buildings,and interesting history. Guide made it a lot easier to understand what we were seeing.

Thank you so very much, we had a great trip, our personal guide Serge was amazing, his knowledge of history and the Ukraine was off the scale, we were collected on time from our hotel which is where our tour started, and spent three hours learning lots and having a private tour. This would have been very difficult doing this alone as things were not clear and there were no evidence of English guides etc. Would recommend 100% and enjoyed our visit very much, made a great day. I wanted to do know more than if I went around by myself and my guide Svetlana was exceptional. I learned about the present day activities, different styles of monks and their according burial styles and plenty more about the interesting history of the monastery. Would highly recommend if you're interested in more than just photos.

Very knowledgeable and beautiful guide Katya was awesome. My 6 year old son fell in love with her. She was very professional, patient and sweet. Lavra is something to see on anyone's bucket list. If you are in Kyiv for a whole day, this is the place to visit. Its huge, so make sure you have enough time.

Monday 8 July 2019 I made the excursion to the LAVRA monastery with a private guide Nicolaj. This erudite man made for an unforgettable trip. He picked us up very punctually at the hotel, and pointed us to numerous places of interest in Kiev along the way. At the location he provided us with a very detailed historical framework of the how and why of this monastery. In the caves themselves he forced the passage to wings that were not normally even open to the general public. He also made it possible to secretly take pictures where it was not allowed by all kinds of patronizing regulations. All this out of genuine pride for the cultural richness of his country, and the will that the general public should learn to appreciate it as well. In short: this tour is highly recommended, and ask especially for the guide Nicolaj if you want something more than a boring dull tour.
