En faisant cette visite, vous ferez l'expérience, de la nourriture à l'ancienne lettone, des boissons, visiterez le plus grand marché d'Europe, marcherez dans la vieille ville de Riga, visiterez les points chauds les plus importants de Riga et admirerez la plus grande quantité de bâtiments Art nouveau dans le monde. De plus, je vais vous parler de l’histoire, des traditions lettones, où et ce qu’ils mangent, et aussi, je vais vous donner des conseils sur d’autres endroits que vous pourriez vouloir visiter.

Profitez de l'histoire et visitez le plus grand marché d'Europe. Parcourez les pavillons du marché, construits avec les vestiges des zeppelins nazis. Vous parcourrez les 5 pavillons, chacun avec un thème différent, dégusterez des collations typiquement lettones, de la vodka lettone (Moonshine) et du kvas (boisson la plus populaire de Lettonie). Dans le cas où vous ne buvez pas d’alcool fort, vous pourrez essayer une bière lettone traditionnelle, merci de me le faire savoir à l’avance…
Parcourez la magnifique ville de Riga, classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, et admirez la plus grande concentration d'Art nouveau au monde. En outre, vous entendrez parler d'événements historiques, visiter les hauts lieux de Riga, tels que, la Maison des points noirs, l'église St Peters, l'église du dôme, le monument de la liberté, la porte suédoise, le reste des murs de la ville. En outre, vous visiterez la boutique lettone de balsames (liqueur nationale lettone), où vous pourrez essayer cela ou simplement l’acheter en souvenir « à vos frais ».
Ici, vous allez voir et parler du monument le plus important en letton, le monument de la liberté. Ce monument rend hommage aux soldats tués pendant l’indépendance de la Lettonie.

This is a great introduction to Riga. I enjoyed seeing the main sites in Old Town and seeing all the art nouveau buildings. I didn’t know much about Latvia’s architecture before this trip but thanks to my guide, Jimmy, I’ve developed an interest. He knew so much about the buildings, the architects and history. I also loved visiting the market and even went back after the tour. We saw and sampled different varieties of traditional Latvian food, which was a nice experience. It was also great to get good recommendations on restaurants and museums in the area. Definitely a worthwhile tour.

The tour was disappointing and could have been much better. The guide was friendly but wasn’t able to answer basic questions anbout history or the sites. We could have done the walking tour on our own saving hundreds of Euros. It was the worst tour we took in the Baltic countries. Even if the tour was half the price it wasn’t worth it.
Ginger, you are the first person complaining & I guess it because you got mad at me after you told me that, you wanted to go inside of the catedral and I said not because we have so much to see and the time won’t be enough… . Just you know, you booked a set tour of 3 hours and not 4.5 hours as I gave you, after spending 1.5 extra hours with you, without getting payed I think this review is not fair at all. I would recommend you for next time to take private tour that is not setup, so you can use the time of guide as you want. Jimmy
This is a long walking tour through the extensive fresh markets of Riga, along with incredible architectural gems around the city. Our guide, Jimmy, was warm, knowledgable and very patient, and we highly recommend him and this tour.

Jimmy is very knowledgeable, he took us to the market and show us this amazing place that was build with remains of zeppelin’s hangars, then we walked the old town and we finished with this beautiful street of Art Nouveau buildings. Thanks again Jimmy!!
My husband and I took a weekend trip to Riga and were looking for an efficient way to experience the must-see of this city. We were lucky to have chosen this tour and Jimmy as our guide for the day. Jimmy is very knowledgeable and makes the walk fun by sneaking in little treats of hidden gems or a nice drink along the way. You will get to learn about history, architecture and get a taste of everyday life in Riga. Highly remommended
