Stephanie was an outstanding guide. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about Mont Saint-Michel, but she also carefully designed the two-hour tour to give us the best possible experience. I don’t want to say too much and spoil it—you should discover it for yourself! Stephanie is a fascinating person, and following her through the village was both enjoyable and engaging. The two hours flew by, and we came away with a much deeper appreciation of this remarkable place. Highly recommended!
Our guide with UTG through Viator was excellent. He was very friendly, and knowledgeable about Mont Saint Michel. He kept the tour moving and kept everyone engaged. And it was very nice going a different route than all the tourist were to avoid the crowds.
It was really in depth and a good time, we have to explore around saint michelle. I would say the additional purchase of the abbey, isn't really needed - unless you're a history buff. You do get additional views (great for photos), but the tour guide was amazing itself.
Great tour. Honore was great. Informative and interesting.
Our tour guide was very patient and made sure we met with him, in spite of our misdirection. He had the patience of a Saint!
Stephanie was very informative and great at improvising. There was some kind of emergency that required a helicopter, but she was able to reroute us easily and pivot when needed. It was rainy and windy too, but still lovely.
Our guide met us just outside the entry doors of the Office de Tourisme, in Beauvoir. Right near the huge parking area. After our hellos, he took us to a bus that ends right near the entrance. We walked all around the streets. Even one that was an inspiration for Diagon Alley! He explained much of the history, including how hard it was to build. Building materials had to be brought in only at high tide and best during the spring Tides with a full moon or new moon. So it was a very long and arduous process to build this beautiful place. Highly highly recommend! Get the group tour with Abbey entry tickets for 35 Euros. That will do you just fine!
Alice our guide was superb. We were escorted to the Mont on the bus and commenced the guided tour via the back door ! Avoiding the masses. Alice was articulate and fluent in English and gave us a lot of detail and background on the history and development of the site. Alice gave us additional advice for the "freetime" we had after the guided tour which was invaluable. The cost of the tour with the inclusion of access to the Abbey was well worth it.
We had many stairs to climb up and down, so be prepared for walking a lot. Make sure you have comfortable shoes.
Without going into to many details , our tour guide was overloading too much information and detail on the history of st michel. If we did not pay attention he would get annoyed , I have used Viator for many years, this was the worse experience I have had. The tour could have been much more pleasant with another guide.
