Its NOT guided in any manner, The staff meeting you at Buckingham was late and gave only a map and wrong time for you to walk about 30 to thier off to go to Windsor Castle. Buckingham is less than an hour and the Castle is 2.5 hours. The balance is a complete waste of your time..

Lots of waiting. Was told wrong time between stops. Says USB charging on bus. Didn't work. Way to long between palace and castle plus walk from palace to next meeting spot long walk. Said meet at 9am. Ticket guy showed up 920.

I was in awe with what I experienced at both Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. The history and opulence and size of the grounds - just blew me away! Word of warning- if you’re going to do both tours - don’t do them on the same day! We walked over 4 miles when we weren’t riding. Also- be aware - you have to walk from Buckingham Palace to Evan-Evan’s office to catch the tour bus.
Dear Katherine_F, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that the history and grandeur of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle left such a strong impression on you. We appreciate your helpful advice regarding the amount of walking involved when visiting both sites in one day, as well as the note about the walk from Buckingham Palace to our office. Your insights will be valuable to future guests planning their tours. Thank you for choosing Evan Evans Tours. We hope to welcome you again on another memorable journey. Best regards, Evan Evans Tours
This tour was fine, but I think we could have just bought tickets and brought ourselves and had the same experience. The leader didn’t seem to have much experience, everything ran late, and there wasn’t much communication
Dear Sarah P, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially regarding the communication and timing during the tour. We take your comments seriously and will review them with our team to improve our guides’ training and ensure smoother coordination in the future. The palace is breathtaking in its gilt and architecture and I enjoyed seeing it. I did not walk another mile to find the bus to Windsor Castle, however. That morning chose to rain heavily and I was already drenched so I chose to return to my room. This is not so much an "escorted tour" as an entry ticket to get the headset and walk through the rooms. Directions to the meetup spot were slim to none. In the pouring rain all participants were a bit frustrated to be moved out from under the only roof in the vicinity because of fire code. Understand fire code but still was frustrating. Again, the palace is gorgeous.
Dear Karlollar, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the beauty and grandeur of Windsor Castle — it truly is a breathtaking place. We’re sorry to learn that the weather and some logistical challenges affected your visit. We understand how frustrating it can be to navigate in the rain, especially when directions and meeting points are unclear. Your feedback about the meetup instructions and shelter limitations due to fire regulations is valuable, and we will share it with our operations team to improve future guest experiences. We hope despite these difficulties, you were still able to enjoy the highlights of the tour and that you might consider joining us again for a smoother and more comfortable experience. Thank you again for your honest comments. Warm regards, The Evan Evans Tours Team
It is a good experience to visit the two palaces on the same day, as time is used. You have to walk a considerable distance (approximately 1.5 km) to the office of the operator Evan Evans, when leaving Buckingham Palace to take the tour bus to Windsor
While it was neat to see both historical sites, and it was nice to have all the tickets and reservations done for us, along with the transportation by bus, I don't think I would book through this group again in the future. The guides never introduced themselves and they only were there to get us into the sites. They didn't share any historical information at all before our visits. When we were done with Buckingham and ready to go to Windsor, we were required to walk about 10 minutes to a sketchy part of town to check in for the bus ride. The receptionist seemed very busy and quickly checked us in and handed us wrist bands and told us to wait outside. The interaction was quick and to the point, without much personable chatter. The drive to and from Windsor was a bit nerve-racking with how the bus and other vehicles narrowly missed each other on the roads. I understand very well now why locals tell tourists NOT to rent a car here. You're mainly paying for the convenience of tickets, reservations, quick access, and transportation. We also didn't have much time to explore Windsor by the time we arrived, only a little over two hours. Someone like me needs more time to explore all the magnificent areas of this castle. In my opinion, the cost didn't match the service. But seeing these places was amazing. I highly recommend you visit both Buckingham and Windsor, but make sure you do them on separate days and devote most of your day to Windsor if you enjoy exploring all the rooms and artwork.
Dear Matt_W, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed visiting Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle, two truly magnificent historic sites. We are sorry to learn that aspects of your experience did not meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments regarding the guide’s interaction and the check-in process, and we will certainly review these points with our team to improve the overall guest experience. Regarding the transportation, safety is always our top priority, and we work closely with our drivers to ensure a smooth and secure journey, even in challenging traffic conditions. We understand that Windsor deserves ample time for exploration, and we recommend planning a dedicated visit if you wish to fully experience the castle’s many treasures. Thank you again for your valuable insights. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a more memorable and personalized experience in the future. Best regards, The Evan Evans Tours Team
Our afternoon escort made sure that we were safe; he gave us landmarks along the climb to Windsor Castle to look out for in case we got lost. He explained what to expect at the castle. He gave us tips on what to look out for. He very wisely advised us to start with the St. George’s Chapel since it closed first thus ensuring that we didn’t miss the experience. Kudos! Would do it again.
Dear kunguk2023, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re delighted to hear that your afternoon escort provided attentive guidance and helpful tips during your visit to Windsor Castle. It’s wonderful that his advice on starting with St. George’s Chapel enhanced your experience and ensured you didn’t miss any highlights. We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you on another Evan Evans tour in the future. Warm regards, The Evan Evans Team
Being able to see the inside Buckingham Palace State rooms was a gorgeous experience. Wow!!! Breathtaking inside the Palace ; centuries of art collections and history to view. Windsor Castke estate room tour was also an incredible experience.
Dear Mzwild2002, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the opportunity to visit the Buckingham Palace State Rooms and found the experience both breathtaking and memorable. The rich history and remarkable art collections within the palace truly make it a special destination.
