Great and tuff tour

It was awesome. Many things to see I. One day and enjoy. The cenote was just what was needed after that hot day and much walking at the temble

Réponse de l'opérateur

Thank you so much for this! You're absolutely right — after all that walking under the Mexican sun, jumping into the cenote is the best reward! 😄 So happy you enjoyed the full day and got to take it all in. Hope to welcome you back in the Mexican Caribbean soon! CARIBE MEX | We know the Mexican Caribbean. Now we want you to know it too. 🌴

At the beginning of this excursion, they take you to a village to try to extract money from you in every possible way.

The three activities included in the excursion are very good and are the reason you choose this excursion; I give it 2 stars and highlight this major issue from the start. They take you to a village built in an area I don't even know where it is, and as soon as you get off the bus, they try to charge you 490 pesos for a calendar that feels somewhat obligatory, plus they introduce you to a shaman who wants to charge you for everything, in addition to a meal at 11 AM where drinks are not included, and they force you to pay for them, along with a constant attempt to collect tips when you haven't even seen the pyramid; moreover, on the bus, they sell you a repellent for 12 euros when there are no mosquitoes at the pyramid, and they tell you it's in the middle of the jungle. I feel sorry because the entertainers on the bus and others are not to blame, but I have been asking about other similar excursions, and they do not take you to a village built solely to extract money from tourists.

Best tour

Did our tour with Gonzalo. Amazing experience. Very educational and interactive. We experienced a lot of rain, but I think it only made it more special. Thank you to our amazing driver as well. Gracias por todo. Fue un placer conocerlos y aprender mucho de la gente maya. Malikim

Disappointing

Very disappointing tour. The main activity was the visit to Chichén Itzá, but the guide informed us at the last moment that the site was closed. Instead, we were taken to other ruins an hour's drive away, with no real choice. Additionally, high extra fees were requested on the bus, which were not clearly indicated during the booking. A lot of hours of transport for ultimately not seeing what was advertised as the main attraction. I do not recommend this excursion.

CARIBE MEX

VERY long day

Got picked up at our resort (Planet Hollywood) at 7:15am and picked up two other couples at two other resorts. We then met up with the tour bus in Cancun. We received our boxed lunch (deluxe package) of a sandwich, cookies and a juice box. We made our way to Chichen Itza with Abel as our very knowledgeable guide. Once there, we were separated into 2 groups (Spanish and English). The ruins are beautiful and the whole tour of the area is fantastic. I do recommend that you bring more water (we were given one bottle each, but that is not enough) and make sure to have a quick snack before starting. It was a cloudy, breezy day and believe me, it was better this way! We were given an umbrella which came in handy for when the sun peaked out! The guide was very clear telling us to stay together as a group and to follow all directions. It is very unfortunate when some people don’t follow these directions. We had to wait a good ½ hour for some people who got lost. This is not fair for the others, AND it prolonged our tour (you will understand why this was a problem later in my review). Next stop: authentic Mayan lunch and cultural tour in Kaua. During his lecture on the bus, Abel talked about A LOT of different things, one being the Mayan calendar and birth certificate. He then gave everyone a paper and pen and asked us for our name and birth date. He talked about the cost (35US$) of said certificate and where that money went (Mayan people and school children). The buffet lunch was very good: 3 different meats for tacos, salad bar, desserts… My husband and I got a beer each (part of the deluxe package). After our lunch, we toured the village and then we finished in an authentic souvenir shop. This is where we found out that our certificates had already been made, and therefore we were expected to pay for them. We did ☹. When we went to get them, we were asked to wait 15 minutes. Um, so they weren’t ready? They hadn’t already been made? If you don’t want to get caught up in this, don’t fill-out the paper. We then got offered another beer in the bus (part of the deluxe package). Next stop: cenote. These have never been a disappointment for us! We got a free locker, part of the deluxe package. We had one hour to spend here. Final stop: Valladolid. It is a quaint little place, but by this time, we were done! More shopping for stuff you don’t need! Got back to our hotel a little after 9:30pm. I do not recommend this tour from Planet Hollywood. The tour was beautiful, just don’t do it from this resort. Finaly, the deluxe package is absolutely NOT worth the extra money.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review, and for the kind words about Abel and the ruins — we're really glad that part of the day stood out! Regarding the Mayan calendar certificate, we completely understand the confusion and we appreciate you bringing it up. The form is only meant to be filled out by guests who wish to request their personal Mayan calendar — if you fill it out, you are requesting it to be made. We will absolutely work on making this clearer so future guests don't feel caught off guard. Regarding the wait at Chichén Itzá, you're absolutely right that it wasn't fair to the rest of the group. In these situations we do our best not to leave anyone behind, as we would never want a guest to be stranded far from their hotel — but we understand how frustrating it can be for everyone else. As for the deluxe package, we hear you! We do want to mention that it includes the box lunch at the start, two drinks at the restaurant, and drinks on the bus throughout the day — benefits that aren't included in the standard package and are detailed at the time of booking. That said, we completely respect that each guest values things differently! Finally, pickup times do vary depending on the resort's location, and unfortunately that's something we can't modify as distances are what they are. We always do our best to make the day as smooth as possible regardless of where guests are staying. We hope you'll give us another chance in the future! 🌴 CARIBE MEX

Dont do it- it says bilingual, it is 80% Spanish and 20% English and very badly organised tour

Dont do it, it says it is in English but it is 2 words English and 10 in Spanish and it is like that through the whole trip. They say they will contact you the day before to schedule pickup, never happened, had to contact them instead arranged 7:50am pick up with a clear threat from them not to be late or you will be left behind they said. We were waiting from 7:40am and yet the bus stayed in the same location until 8:30am waiting for other guests. Then time was wasted at every single stop. First stop- tourist trap, lunch was not ready so wasted another 30min by literally being imprisoned in a chocolate shop. Most of lunch items were gone by the time we arrived and were never offered. Got to Chichen Itza at the hottest time of the day. We were all melting. Got to cenote 30min before closing and 20min was allowed for the last stop as we were running so late. Some people decided to take taxis and go home instead as no one knew when we will be back . And at the end with all of this poor organisation and time keeping they had the audacity to ask for tips. Come on now! Do better! 14 hours gone from our lives that we will never get back

Réponse de l'opérateur

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, even though we're truly sorry to hear the experience didn't meet your expectations. Regarding the bilingual service, we want to clarify that our guides are fully bilingual and everything covered in Spanish is also explained in English throughout the entire tour. We're sorry if at any point the communication didn't feel balanced — that is never our intention and we'll look into it with the team. As for the pickup time, we sincerely apologize for the wait. Unfortunately, when other guests at earlier stops run behind schedule, it can create a ripple effect that impacts the rest of the group — something we work hard to minimize but can't always fully control. The chocolate shop is part of the Mayan village visit, a stop that gives guests a taste of local culture and traditions. We understand that waiting while lunch is being prepared can feel frustrating, especially when you're eager to get to the main sites. We hear you on the timing throughout the day — accumulated delays are something we take very seriously and are always working to improve. We genuinely want every guest to have enough time to enjoy each stop, and clearly that wasn't the case for you on this day. We're sorry this wasn't the experience you deserved. We hope you'll give us the opportunity to show you what our tours are truly like. CARIBE MEX

Totally worth it…Ceynotes were MAGICAL!

Our guide Ave and driver Victor were just good vibes from start to finish! The price of the tour is definitely worth it! The food, the amount you travel and places you visit. Very much happy with the day. The whole tour lasted around 15 hours total so have a bag prepared for that!
