Visite gastronomique Héraklion

We had such a wonderful experience on our food and wine tour in Crete with Magda of Magda Luxury Crete! From the moment we met her, she made us feel like we were spending the day with family. Magda has an amazing personality—warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and truly a ball of energy! Throughout the tour, we visited several different stops where we had the opportunity to enjoy delicious local foods and wonderful wines while experiencing a more authentic side of Crete. Every stop felt special, and Magda made the entire day so much fun. We ended our tour at a lovely local restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious coffee and were treated to an incredible assortment of desserts from the owner. It was such a perfect way to finish the day! Magda also went above and beyond by helping arrange a cab for us back to the cruise port, which we greatly appreciated. If you are visiting Crete and want a fun, personal, and authentic food and wine experience, we highly recommend Magda Luxury Crete. Magda truly made our day in Crete one of the highlights of our trip. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. Thank you, Magda, for such a memorable experience!

I did the Heraklion Foodie Tour with Magda. Magda was informative and also fun. She knows a lot of interesting places to go and eat, and is popular among the locals. It was a great and fun experience!

Our tour guide could not have been more lovely. It felt like you were with a friend that was so excited to show you there favorite parts of their home. All of the stops were tasty and interesting. The walk around the old town was gorgeous and showed so many different historical sites and books and cranies you may not explore on your own. Highly recommend.

We arrived in Chania but the tour was in Heraklion, which is 2 hours away. We were never ask what ship we were on and we did not realize the distance prior to our Princess ship arriving. We called and explain the situation and asked for a refund. We were rudely explain that we missed the 24 cancellation window (which is true) and it was our fault when we booked (again true). The real issue was we were never asked what ship we were on and never informed that there are two ports in Crete. A partial refund should have been provided (cost minus the food purchased in advance) but we were provide no options. After calling both the tour company and Viator we canceled the remaining tours we book based on the customer service we received. Buyer beware and please do your homework - we paid the price for not doing so.

Magda was an excellent tour guide. She took me to some great local spots with excellent food and we finished with a delish roasted lamb from the owners farm. I highly recommend this tour if you want great food, learn a little history and share wonderful camaraderie with this special lady.

Magda was the best guide!!! She knows the city very well, she accommodated my husband’s request for seafood instead of lamb, and was very personable and fun. We highly recommend this tour with Magda. Two thumbs up!

A lot of food! Two stops and the second stop had at least 8-9 plates of different dishes tapas style. More then I could eat, very friendly restaurant manager, guide was ok.

A brilliant experience combining history with the delicious Cretan food and drink. Magda was a brilliant guide - the whole thing could not have been better!

We had an amazing guide Magda and we learned so much about Crete and we sampled some very delicious authentic foods as we walked leisurely through Heraklion.

Magda is AWESOME! we ate so much amazing food, saw so many unique and historical sights. We went well off the tourist streets and got a real taste of Heraklon. Magda is HIGH ENERGY in a GREAT WAY. Come hungry and wear your walking shoes!!!
