Visite gastronomique du Belize à San Pedro, Ambergris Caye

Description
Melva was an amazing, engaging, and personable guide who shared the rich history behind each restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious—even our two pickiest eaters loved everything! I only wish we hadn't booked this on our last night, because we really wanted to go back to these restaurants. Book this tour for an authentic and great experience!
Melva is amazing! Such a fun dinner tour! She was knowledgeable, communicative, friendly, professional and just plain fun to hang out with. The food was great; delicious and authentic. As a tourist , I never would have figured to go to any of the restaurants we went to and now I want to go back to all of them. I was very full and very happy when it was over. It’s such a great idea to do a food tour. I wish I could do one everywhere I go.
Jamil was a great tour guide and the whole night was one awesome stop after another. A variety of food and drinks and he was very knowledgeable in each one! Definitely recommend this tour and this guide!
The tour was amazing and we meet a great company of people! The tour guide was fantastic and the food is a must try!!
I had an amazing time on the Savor Belize Dinner Food Tour! Even though it rained, it didn't take away from the experience one bit. My guide, Jamil, came prepared with ponchos, and since I was the only guest on the tour, we were able to get around in my golf cart, which made it even more fun and personal. The food was absolutely delicious, and I loved learning about the history and culture of San Pedro along the way. Jamil is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the island's hidden gems. I also really appreciated that he and one of the restaurants accommodated my dietary restrictions since I don't eat pork or beef. That thoughtful gesture meant a lot and made the experience even more enjoyable. To make the evening even more memorable, they surprised me by writing "Happy Birthday" on a dessert plate. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected touch that made me feel truly special. I'm so glad I decided to take this tour. I discovered so many amazing local spots that I never would have found on my own, and now I have a list of great places to visit the next time I'm back in San Pedro. If you're visiting Belize and want incredible food, fascinating local history, and genuine Belizean hospitality, I highly recommend the Savor Belize Dinner Food Tour! Hopefully when you book you get Jamil!
Melva was an excellent guide. Come hungry! We were a family of 4 with 2 teen boys and loved all of the stops/food included. The walk was not difficult/far between stops. Would highly recommend to try authentic Belizian cuisine.
My husband and I actually did both the lunch and dinner tour and it was fabulous. The guides were fantastic! Jamel was the guide on the lunch tour we did and Melva was the guide on our dinner tour. Both Jamel and Melva were super engaging, fun to be around and passionate about the work that they do and the community of San Pedro. And, of course, the food and drinks were DELICIOUS! Every spot felt like a home cooked meal, the food was fresh and tasty (and we wanted to keep eating more!). We also loved the people we met on the tour--the other tourists, the restaurant owners and staff. Just an all around great experience. Highly recommended!
Jamil aka the handsome treasure hunter was the absolute BEST! He was extremely personable, funny, and told us the history of the food and who owned/started the restaurants. I’ve done many food tours in other countries and this by far was the best and well worth the price. You get the choice of soft drinks, mixed drinks, or beer at each location. If you’re going for dinner, be hungry!
This is a must do event! We were a group of 10 aging from 19-81 years old. We had picky eaters to the ravenous teenagers and we were all satisfied. Make sure you book this early in your trip as the guide and the walk from place to place gets you familiar with the town. We LOVED every part of this trip. Each stop came with a unique food choice and a drink (Both alcohol and non alcohol were options.) Rigi, our guide was amazing and handled our diverse group with humor and fun. He grew up on San Pedro, so he was a wealth of information for any of the questions we shot at him. We couldn't say enough about this tour. The last stop was key lime pie with rum punch on the beach. We loved it so much, we went back to a couple of the restranuts we visited on this tour that weren't on our radar to begin with. We were all full and had the very best time! Thank you for offering such a fun trip.
Wonderful tour and delicious food. Most food tours give basic bites but this was real food samplings. Very friendly and patient with our toddler and even allowed them to try the food too! Great experience. Our guide was Jamil- he was funny, friendly and I would highly recommend!
