Entrez dans les pantoufles d'un habitant alors que nous grignotons notre chemin autour de Moorea avec votre Guide local. Tama'a signifie manger en tahitien et nous le ferons exactement car vous et nos papilles découvrirez les meilleurs endroits locaux. Lors de votre visite gastronomique, vous dégusterez et visiterez des trouvailles locales authentiques qui offriront des saveurs uniques où les habitants aiment manger. Vous sortirez des bains battus et découvrirez des "snack shops" locaux et des stands de fruits en bordure de route. La nourriture à Tahiti se compose de trois cultures: Tahitien, Chinois et Français . Lors de la tournée de cuisine de rue Tama'a, nous allons chercher des joyaux cachés de la nourriture des trois milieux. Les clients feront l'expérience de 10 à 12 dégustations, selon la saison et la disponibilité. La visite durera entre 4 et 5 heures. Nous nous arrêterons également sur des sites à couper le souffle, et nous obtiendrons une petite histoire culturelle de l'île. La visite s'arrête dans la ville principale de Maharepa. Nous fournissons des ramassages à Moorea, à partir de la plupart des grands centres de villégiature, airbnb, lodges, petits hôtels situés sur le côté nord de l'île entre Te Fare Mihi et le quai de ferry de la côte nord seulement. Si vous êtes situé en dehors de cette zone, veuillez en informer lors de la réservation et nous vous proposerons un lieu de rendez-vous où vous pourrez nous rejoindre avec votre voiture de location ou votre taxi. Nous pouvons également organiser le ramassage à partir des quais d'appel d'offres des navires de croisière sur Moorea à partir de la baie d'Opunohu ou de la baie de Pao Pao. On vient chercher sur les quais des bateaux de croisière. Lors de la réservation, veuillez fournir le nom de votre bateau de croisière et le nom du quai d'appel d'offres. Si vous séjournez à Tahiti et ne visitez Moorea que pour la journée, tous les frais supplémentaires pour le transport depuis Tahiti (ferry inclus) seront à la charge du client. Lorsque vous voyagez de Tahiti à Moorea pour rejoindre la visite, veuillez prendre le ferry rapide de 8h00 et nous viendrons vous chercher au terminal de Moorea à 9h00

Exceptional moment of sharing and discovery. It is even better than in the description. A nice and interesting outing, a truly well-organized and attentive experience. The restaurant owners from Isère and the teenager thank you again and the canyoning was top-notch!!
Made a was a wonderful guide who loved explaining the history and culture of French Polynesia through food! We tried things that we would not have otherwise thought to try.
We highly recommend this tour and especially to do it early in your trip. There were so many small places and unknown dishes we never would have ordered but loved. The fresh fruit with plum powder was a highlight, as was the poisson cru (of course!) and the guava pie. We enjoyed the Pacific, French and Chinese influences and I don’t think we were disappointed in a single bite. Our host, Mareva, was kind, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her homeland and its cuisine. We learnt a lot about the many cultural influences on food here and how French Polynesia became such a melting pot of foods and people. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore, chat and learn new things. It was the perfect amount of food for us, too - we were full but not uncomfortably so and could still go snorkelling straight after the tour. Mareva also went out of her way to give us tips such as the best places to snorkel, where the best places are to shop, where the supermarkets are and when to go. She was also kind enough to try to book us on a snorkelling tour the next day, and although she wasn’t able to she did give us three names to follow up and we successfully booked one. All in all, a wonderful and delicious day.
This is such a fantastic way to acquaint yourself with the beautiful island of Moorea! The scenery of the island, the graciousness of the people, and the flavors and freshness of the foods were equal highlights of our tour. Now we know where to go through the rest of out stay. And thank you to our guide, Heimata, for making it all happen!
While in Moorea we took a tour through Tahiti Food Tours and it did not disappoint. We chose it to learn more about local cuisine, but our tour guide and owner Heimata, shared his love of food and knowledge of the Island. Born and raised in Moorea, culinary trained in Hawaii, he shared so much about the history of this island in addition to the cuisine which has not only French and Tahitian roots but Chinese and Vietnamese as well. Highly recommend this tour, wonderful way to learn about the island and the amazing food that tells the story of its history.
This is a must do in Moorea and the earlier in your trip the better. We did this tour day 3 of our tour and now have four quaint little eating haunts, great traditional cuisine we would have never tried and really gotten into Polynesian snack culture. Our host was incredible and knowledgeable and numerous and the tour group bonded over chats about food and life and holidays. One not to miss!
The perfect way to see the north part of Moorea! Heimata was a knowledgeable tour guide and took us to the best places around town! I definitely would recommend this food tour if you’re in Moorea :)
The food tour was a very fun way to explore the Moorean culture, be introduced to new foods and restaurants, spend time with an engaging guide and tour participants, and see some more of the island. You are in capable and knowledgeable hands with this tour guide.
This is a must for the beginning of your stay on Moorea! H, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the experience as interesting as it was delicious! He also had many recommendations for places to see, things to do & of course, where to eat (which is why it’s good to go early in your stay!). These tours fill up fast so book early (like months). We really got to know the other 6 people in our group too, which was a bonus! Definitely book this tour if you want to learn more about how food and culture are interconnected!
The food tour with Heimata was one of the most unique. informative and fun tours we have taken in any country. Heimata, self-proclaimed "half professional/half flintstone" was born and raised in Moorea and provides you with local history with a culinary twist. He is a trained chef with a sharp wit and a plethora of information. He is extremely personable and very well-loved on the island as is apparent by the welcome he receives everywhere he goes, including just driving down the road. I have to admit that a few of our family members were hesitant for this "food tour" but it is much, much more than that. He will introduce you to the local flavors, the various cultural influences and even the best "snacks" on Moorea. He was so kind that he allowed us to continue to contact him during our trip for restaurant and local activity recommendations. We whole heartly recommend Heimata and his food tour when in Moorea!!
