PJ is great. We really enjoyed our tour and felt like we received an education as well. PJ is very knowledgeable and knows everyone. He is also not bashful with the wine.
We joined PJ's food tour in a group of three couples (and one really great boy of around 6/7 years) — two American and us from the Netherlands — and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our Paris trip. PJ starts off quietly and lets the group find its rhythm, but it didn't take long before his genuine, infectious passion for French cuisine took over completely. What followed was a wonderful crash course in everything that makes French food culture so extraordinary: the cheeses, the bread, the charcuterie, the wine — each with fascinating stories and little-known facts that made every bite taste even better. After wandering through 'his' neighborhood — and Montmartre truly feels like his neighborhood — the evening continued at his restaurant, Le Petit Moulin. The food and wines where great, but what made it truly special was the atmosphere. By the end of the night, it felt like we'd known each other for years. We will absolutely recommend PJ to anyone visiting Paris. PJ, thank you!
Thank you for that wonderful review. I am glad you finally got to experience this.
PJ is awesome, lucky to have found this tour
Fantastic and awesome...Thank you!!
PJ is an amazing host and chef! This is my second tour with him and both were incredible. A day of learning, fun, and more food and wine than I can imagine. The quality of everything was top notch, and PJ is very entertaining and accommodating! I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting Paris that is looking for an authentic experience with fabulous food.
It is wonderful to read your enthusiastic words.
My wife and I met PJ across from the Moulin Rouge in the montmartre district. PJ was our personal guide who immersed us in the culture and history of this part of Paris. We visited 3 different bars for wine and drinks and met many of the locals that live and work in this area. We then went to 2 different restaurants where we had the most delicious oysters, escargot, and other food prepared by PJ. Most fun was sitting with 4 of PJ's local friends and sharing a large tray of the best raw oysters we ever had. We spent a good 4+ hours and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this if you are visiting Paris.
This review is for Montmartre Confidential, not the food tour, but we are grateful to you for reviewing this tour. We love Montmartre confidential.
A wonderful experience! Chef PJ is so knowledgeable. The tour was like a master class in food and wine and very fun! The chef and sous chef at his restaurant are wonderful. The food was some of the best we had in Paris. The restaurant itself has so much character, one of a kind. Highly recommend this tour!
A master class! Thank you.
Absolutely amazing time. Best food tour I have ever experienced. Chef PJ knows Montmarte and the entire tour is like hanging with an old friend in his home neighborhood. PJ's enthusiasm and knowledge are without compare. It is a treat to spend time with someone who is living his calling.
The Best in the world, thanks!
Imagine meeting a great friend after many years. That is chef PJ. What a day out. He has great Parisian food and wine knowledge. He is very passionate about both and feeds you copious amounts of both. We have been on several food tours in several countries and this one is the creme de la creme as the French would say. What a guy, what a great day filled with happy taste buds and laughter. 6 stars Thank you PJ for an amazing day
Thank you for an amazing review.
Fantastic! Without a doubt the best food tour we’ve ever been on and one of the top overall tours we’ve ever been on (and we do a lot of tours!). I want to say thank you to Chef PJ for introducing us to many wonderful delights, teaching us about local Parisian cuisine and the best places to get it, and, of course the best meal we had in Paris at his own restaurant. But what took this tour to the top was Chef, himself! He is so warm and so generous. He brought Montmartre to life with his passion. Usually his tours are full but on our day another group cancelled. We are grateful that despite there being only us 2 ladies who were left, he conducted the tour and treated us like family.
Thank you so much!
What a great tour! Chef PJ is knowledgeable and so friendly. He introduced us to true French culture. The food was amazingly delicious!! Highly recommend!
It is our guests who make our tours, thank you.
