Delightful tour with Theo. It was perfectly organized and accommodated my granddaughter’s diet. Theo is personable, knowledgeable and he quickly handled granddaughter’s dehydration/heat issue at the beginning of the tour. The food choices were varied and delicious and we learned a lot about Spain. I highly recommend this tour and Theo
This is a fun way to spend a few hours roaming around a thriving, local Madrid neighborhood and getting a taste of Spain. It’s an easy walk through a colorful, lively area. Along the way, there are stops to nosh on local treats. Our personable guide, Teo, shared a great deal of information as he led us through specific food tastings that included: freshly-fried churros with chocolate, the famous Spanish jamón, boquerones, and olives; a wonderful olive oil tasting (and opportunity to buy); finishing with a tasty, typical, local lunch in the marketplace.
Andrea was an outstanding guide - nice, professional, showing intresting places, wonderful foodstops!!! We highly rekommend a tour with Andrea!!!!!!!!!
What a lovely stroll through local neighborhoods with our guide Andrea! We tasted a variety of dishes and learned more about various meals and mealtimes that are unique to the Spanish people. I have previously done the Tapas Tour with Walk and Eat Spain, and I highly recommend either (or both!) of these tours!
Very fun and informative tour about food and culture in Spain. Highly recommend it. We went to markets we might not otherwise access easily.
We did two separate tours with this company - a private tour of the La Latina neighborhood with tapas, and a flamenco show experience. Angie was our wonderful guide for both tours and we loved her! We had so much fun and learned so much. The company was very easy to work with. I highly recommend anything that this company offers, and look forward to taking more tours through them the next time I'm in Madrid.
What a fun tour. Go hungry as you’ll have plenty of foods to try. The churros and porros with chocolate sauce and coffee were an excellent ‘first’ breakfast. The savory breakfast of jamon and cheese and wine/beer was equally good. We visited the Mercado and had samplings of olives, anchovies and figs. One of the most interesting stop was to sample olive oils. We ended with a wonderful meal of warm tapas and more drinks. We didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this tour.
My daughter and I loved this tour. Christina was a wonderful guide. Her enthusiasm for sharing the foods in this beautiful neighborhood was contagious! She was delightful. The foods were delicious!
This was the best food tour I did during my month long holiday in Spain. The history behind the food, and the stories behind ingredients, produce and neighbourhoods was so interesting. Our guide Christina was also part of the reason the experience was so enjoyable
First visit to Madrid, I wanted to experience the local flavor and culture. Oliver guided our group of six through multiple tastings that included churros and chocolate, ham, olive oil, tapas and pintxos etc. The food was fabulous and I really enjoyed Oliver's insight on the Spanish Lifestyle.
