Durante il tour faremo una sosta nei pressi di Piano Provenzana per ammirare la colata lavica del 2002 che distrusse completamente l'impianto sciistico.
Durante il tour percorreremo un sentiero panoramiqueo che ci condurrà ad ammirare una suggestiva bottoniera di crateri laterali, formatisi nel 1865. Dalla cima potremo godere di un’incredibile vista sulla splendida costa ionica.
Una delle attrazioni più affascinanti è senza dubbio la visita all’interno di un tunnel di lava : muniti di casco e torcia, lo esploremo insieme passo dopo passo.
La cantina Gambino è una delle più rinomate del panorama enologico dell’Etna. La qualità eccellente dei vini, abbinata ai piatti della tradizione locale e alla professionalità dei sommelier, offre un’esperienza unica in un contesto straordinario : dalle terrazze panoramiquehe si gode di una vista mozzafiato sulla costa Ionica, rendendo questo luogo ideale per rilassarsi e assaporare i frutti del vulcano.

We booked the Mount Etna tour with the Vineyard visit afterwards, Our hotel called MrExcursions on our behalf and Sabrina (from MrExcursions) called me to arrange exactly what we wanted and expected from our trips (Via WhatsApp). The next day we we're picked up from our hotel promptly by Andrea (our driver and guide) at 09:00 he was polite and friendly. We stopped at a lovely Cafe in a Pine Forest on the way to Mount Etna for a comfort break and a coffee, we then proceeded to the Lave caves/ Tunnels where we descended down the steps and through the cave/ tunnel. An experience for sure and one i'm really glad we did. Then another short Journey to Edna herself. Due to the activity of the Volcano there's a limit on how high we're allowed to go but even as we trekked up the side of the Craters following a narrow path that in places is quite steep it was a fantastic experience, all the time Andrea is commentating and making sure everyone is safe. Walking sticks and hardhats are provided as are proper trekking boots (if you require them). It was a beautiful sunny day so no coats were needed. After the Hike we went back to the entrance where we were picked up and take to Gambino's Vineyard and Winery. Another awesome experience indeed as we were greeted warmly and immediately given a sample of wine to taste while a Vineyard guide explained the history of the Winery. We were then taken through to the restaurant where more wine and some delicious food was provided for us. There is quite a lot of wine to be sampled and they are very generous with it!! Everyone on our tour was certainly a lot more *ahem* "relaxed" and "chatty" on the trip back to our hotels if you get my meaning!!! I think from start to finish the whole experience of Mount Etna and the Vineyard took about seven and a half to eight hours including traveling time. We had a fantastic day that created many happy memories that will last a lifetime, i highly recommend MrExcursions a friendly, polite and professional company that i'd have no hesitation in using again to book other trips with. Special Thanks to Andrea who really was awesome in his conduct, driving, commentary and friendliness.

What a breath taking view from on top of the volcano coupled with a fabulous wine tasting at Gambino winery. Lastly, the conversation provided by our guide, Vittorio, was very informative and funny. I would book with him again!
