A fun day tour of Capri, taking in Ana Capri and Monte Solero via the chair lift, then to Capri and finally a boat tour around Capri from the harbour. Unfortunately the Blue Grotto was closed due to tides, but the boat tour was a very good alternative. Stephanie, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable and could point out the different activities to do in each stop.
I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Capri. All aspects of this tour were excellent. They communicated with me prior to the tour and were very specific about where to meet. Cynthia our guide was amazing. She was so knowledgeable about the tour and really took the tour to another level. The whole experience exceeded my expectations.
One of the most beautiful and scenic places I have ever seen. Especially the views from the chairlift up are absolutely unmatched. Our tour guide Stephanie was fantastic! She explained everything very clearly and had excellent recommendations for food, shopping, activities etc. Just be aware that on some days when the water is too choppy, the Blue Grotto may be unavailable (it's unfortunately out of everyone's control). But Stephanie did a great job by booking us on a boat tour of Capri as a substitute.
This was my favorite experience during my entire trip to Italy! Capri is beautiful and this tour was an excellent way to experience many of the main attractions in one day. Without the tour guide, Stephany, and transportation, you would never be able to see all of the sites included in this tour in one day!
Michele has to be the best tour guide. He knew the region literally like clock work. How to avoid the crowds, the order in which to see different sites and activities, and so forth. Simply the best.
Giorgio was an amazing tour guide. He took great care of us throughout the day, ensuring our safety and giving us options to get the most out of our time in Capri. Grazie Mille Giorgio!
Great tour. Cintia was the perfect guide- knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. We ticked plenty off our bucket list in an easy and calm way. Great recommendation for lunch too. Thanks again Cintia
The name of the tour is absolutely inaccurate. This is not a “small group boat tour”. Due to weather conditions, They said we could not enter the blue grotto that day; which I understand you cannot go against nature. But considering this changed the entire trip, I wish we were offered the opportunity to be refunded. Instead we spent most of the day walking and following the leader as a herd through capri and Anacapri. There was at least like 27 of us, does that sound like a small group to you?? Since we couldn’t do the blue grotto, I will say they took us to the chair lifts first thing to beat the crowds. That was nice. After that they had their own bus to drive us from capri to anacapri and then back to the harbor. It was nice not having to worry about transportation, but the islands are so small I just didn’t think a walking tour was necessary and/or what I signed up for. Then, after following the herd and getting very little free time, we were told we would get a boat tour around the island. So they put us on a giant ferry just like the ones you take to get there with several other group tours and a man on a speaker tells you to look right and left at different rock formations and such. We were extremely upset we wasted our day this way. We should have gone to capri, and then booked an ACTUAL small group boat from the men on the docks. There were several people out swimming in the water near the blue grotto and looked like they were having a great time on an actual intimate setting. I strongly recommend you consider something like that instead of wasting your time and money doing this, which you could easily navigate yourself more hassle free and cheaper.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations; however, we would like to clarify several important points, as there are some inaccuracies in your review. First of all, the tour you purchased is not a “boat tour.” As clearly stated in both the title and the full description, this is a Capri, Anacapri, and Blue Grotto tour by land, with the visit to the Blue Grotto included only if weather and sea conditions allow. The term “boat tour” is not mentioned anywhere in the tour description. As also clearly explained in the tour details, when the Blue Grotto is closed, the activity is replaced with a boat ride around the island to admire the Faraglioni and other sea caves. This is exactly what was provided on the day of your tour. Regarding group size: the tour specifies a maximum of 23 guests per group. On the day of your tour, there were 27 participants total, but the group was divided into two separate small groups with two guides, fully in line with what is advertised. It also appears that some logistical details may not have been carefully reviewed prior to booking. This tour has a meeting point in Capri, yet you expected to be picked up in Sorrento. Despite this, our team still assisted you and accommodated you by adding you to our group departing from Sorrento to Capri. We understand that Capri can be explored independently, and some travelers may prefer a different type of experience, such as a private boat tour. However, what you describe as disappointing aspects of the day were all clearly outlined in advance in the tour description, itinerary, and terms. We always encourage guests to carefully read the full tour details before booking, to ensure the experience aligns with their expectations. We are confident that the service provided was exactly what was purchased and accurately described. Kind regards, Alessandra
This trip was beyond good it was absolutely superb Brilliant organisation and our tour guide Luigi was fantastic
Our starting location was changed for us to make it more convenient. Our guide, Luigi, was very helpful to get us the ferry tickets. He also got us to Anacapri early so we could experience the Blue Grotto no lines in the chair lift to the top, and had enough time for a boat tour around the island of Capri. I would highly recommend this excursion.
