The tour spent lots of time at Chatsworth house which gives you a chance to explore the extensive gardens.
This tour is a great opportunity to get out of the hustle and bustle of the cities and see the beauty that is the peak District, it’s small towns and it’s grand places!
Couldn’t have been more simple to plan and attend, The van was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Stuart hosted and chauffeured our drive to Chatsworth. On the way he shared super interesting anecdotal knowledge of the area and the history. We were able to make a few stops for scenic views not to mention a gorgeous hour in Buxton. We were allotted 4+ hours at Chatsworth which was the perfect amount of time to explore the house and the gardens and have a leisurely lunch. I am so pleased with the tour and couldn’t recommend anything more.
We had a very enjoyable day out in the Peak District and Visiting Chatsworth House. Fortunately, the weather was nice. It would have been much less scenic and comfortable if it had been cold and wet. Buxton was a very interesting stop and Chatsworth House and Gardens was very impressive. Unfortunate that we couldn't make a quick detour to Bakewell. A couple things prompt a Good instead of Excellent rating. First, the directions to the meeting point need to be far more specific. It appeared on Google Maps that the meeting point was just outside Manchester Piccadilly Station. It was, but on a different level of the station. They should provide a recommend place to put into Google Maps to get to the meeting spot instead of just saying the intersection of two streets. It didn't help that when we called Rabbie's for direction, the person who answer couldn't provide them. We ended up sprinting to the bus once a kind local told us how to get to where we needed to be. The other thing is I was surprised the guide could not answer a couple of my questions about Chatsworth House.
Such a beautiful drive. Buxton was adorable and wished we could have stayed a little longer. Our guide was very knowledgeable and history of Manchester was very interesting.
Very good tour. Just about right amount of time at each location. Tour guide Michael was great also.
Went to the pick up point as directed by Viator. It was not correct and therefore missed the tour. I made my plans to go to Manchester for this tour and got left behind. Not sure who was at fault but unacceptable. This was a trip I planned for this particular tour. I am so disappointed. When you travel from the other side of the world it is so incredibly disappointing.
Hi Nicole, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to make it onto your tour as a result of issues finding the departure point. I can see that you were provided incorrect departure details by Viator. We're not sure why this occurred as it isn't an issue we've run. I wholeheartedly appreciate your frustration at arriving on time and not being able to participate in the tour as a result. Had you been available on another day we would have gladly secured seats for you so we could get you on this tour. Unfortunately as you were unavailable the best we could do was offer a full refund. I hope this goes some way towards showing you our commitment to doing right by our customers. Once again I'm sorry you were unable to make it on tour with us, but I do hope we'll be able to welcome you on board soon so we can show you just how great our tours can be. Thanks, Jo
Pete from the Rabbie’s Tour Guide company did a fantastic job educating our group about Manchester, Buxton, and Bakewell while driving us to the Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. He was funny, charismatic, and good company to be around. Pete has so much knowledge that I learned more than I expected.
My experience was amazing. I was looking for this tour few years ago, because I am a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice. I was visiting different shooting locations were used in 2005 version. And I was super happy because at the end of my visit I had my selfie with Mr. Darcy.
Easy to find pick up location. Simon was a great tour guide and gave lots of interesting information during the drive. Tons of time at each spot. We didn't feel rushed at all and absolutely loved seeing Chatsworth.
