Avec un guide professionnel à vos côtés pour décrire la campagne des alliés en 1915-1916, largement menée par le Corps d'armée australien et néo-zélandais (ANZAC), visitez les sites de la Nek, Johnston's Jolly, l'ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine et Chunuk Bair, puis arrêtez-vous pour un déjeuner inclus le long du trajet. Itinéraire
Quittez votre hôtel situé au centre d'Istanbul tôt le matin en autocar climatisé. Ensuite, détendez-vous en route vers la tristement célèbre péninsule de Gallipoli, site de l’une des campagnes militaires les plus sanglantes de la Première Guerre mondiale. Pendant que vous voyagez, écoutez des faits percutants de votre guide sur la campagne terrestre infructueuse des Alliés qui a débuté en avril 1915 avec les débarquements du Corps d'armée australien et néo-zélandais (ANZAC). Les ANZAC devaient repousser les forces turques ottomanes et capturer Istanbul - connue à l'époque sous le nom de Constantinople - pour aider les forces russes en difficulté. En janvier 1916, cependant, la campagne était terminée et les troupes alliées évacuées, avec une perte totale estimée de 100 000 vies des deux côtés.
Après environ 5 heures, arrivez à Gallipoli pour une visite guidée de ses sites clés. Visitez ANZAC Cove, la plage du débarquement du 25 avril, et The Nek, théâtre d’une tragique attaque australienne. Passez également du temps à Johnston’s Jolly, où se trouvent encore les tranchées turques et alliées originales.
Vous verrez également les mémorants obsédants qui commémorent les morts. Visitez le poignant australien Lone Pine Cemetery et le monument commémoratif portant les noms de près de 5 000 soldats et admirez le mémorial néo-zélandais à Chunuk Bair, site du stand héroïque néo-zélandais en août 1915.
Votre visite comprend un arrêt pour le déjeuner en début d’après-midi, avec votre repas et des boissons à vos propres frais. Vers 18 heures, quittez les champs de bataille et détendez-vous en revenant à Istanbul, où votre visite se terminera par un arrêt à l'hôtel. It was a full day (early start; late finish) but worth it. Knowledgeable guide and fun group of Aussies on the tour. Turks are great people and it is a crying shame we went to war and killed each other. No shame on the soldiers but poor show on generals and politicians.

A very good day with an excellent guide who knew the history from both sides. The minibus was comfortable and not too arduous. We visited the relevant sites and heard stories of valour and bad decision making which is what Gallipoli is all about. An essential pilgrimage for ANZACS

Was an honour to see the ANZAC Battlefields at Gallipoli. My guide, Hasan, was really knowledgable and interesting, helped me learn a lot. Hasan was also funny and a really good story teller, so he made a good day great and very memorable. It is a long day with a long drive from Istanbul, but if you are like me and really want to see where our ANZAC bravely stood, then its worth it.

Great tour. The group size was about 15 in a nice mini bus which was really good. Pick up and drop off from my hotel was very useful in such a large city. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He also gave great insight from the Turkish perspective as well as the Anzac which was very interesting.

The actual Gallipoli experience was OK The young guy that was our guide was too glib for our taste about a very poignant pilgrimage family members made to visit the battle sites of Gallipoli. The main problem we had was the transportation on the way back to Istanbul when we were squished in the back for five hours and the level of service regarding food etc and the extreme squash were well below our expectations. Our complaints to the Crowded House company were dismissed rudely we felt and although the driver was very professional we felt that the owners of the business were not open to any criticism or suggestions for improvements
