Nos sympathiques guides locaux, spécialisés dans la prévision des aurores boréales, utilisent les données en direct tous les soirs pour trouver les meilleurs endroits, sans foule, vous donnant la meilleure chance de voir ce phénomène magique. Enveloppez-vous dans des couvertures chaudes en laine islandaise, sirotez un délicieux chocolat chaud et savourez des pâtisseries traditionnelles alors que le ciel nocturne s'anime. Itinéraire
Tout d'abord, vous commencerez votre chasse aux aurores boréales avec un peu de planification via les prévisions Aurora et commencerez votre exploration en vous dirigeant vers l'emplacement sélectionné. Vous pouvez conduire jusqu'à une heure pour atteindre un bon endroit et peut-être attendre que les lumières s'allument. A ce stade, on sort le chocolat chaud et les pâtisseries islandaises. Nous avons également des couvertures en laine islandaise à bord pour vous garder au chaud lorsque vous êtes à l'extérieur. Il peut y avoir la décision de changer d'endroit, en interagissant avec d'autres habitants car il y a beaucoup de personnes différentes à l'extérieur à la recherche de lumières tous les soirs. Nous faisons cela pour augmenter les possibilités de trouver des aurores boréales. S'il n'y a pas d'aurores boréales pendant la visite, vous pouvez réessayer gratuitement (selon disponibilité). En voyageant en minibus, vous bénéficiez de la qualité d'un petit groupe de 19 personnes maximum, car les foules sont évitées afin de vous rendre au meilleur endroit disponible.

La prise en charge commence 30 minutes avant l'heure de départ. * 15 août–30 septembre & 1er avril–18 avril : du 21 au 30 * Du 1er octobre au 31 mars : du 20 au 30 Nous avons besoin d'avoir votre adresse e-mail enregistrée afin de pouvoir vous envoyer un e-mail 30 minutes avant l'heure prévue de ramassage. Ce courriel contiendra une description de notre voiture, y compris une photo et un numéro de plaque d'immatriculation. Nous fournirons également le nom du Guide dans le courriel. Notre Guide chauffeur s'arrêtera toujours, descendra de la voiture, et vous cherchera. Ils ne quitteront pas le point de ramassage à moins de ne pas pouvoir vous localiser.

- Même avec les meilleurs guides et des prévisions détaillées, les observations ne sont jamais garanties. Si nous ne trouvons aucune lumière pendant la tournée, vous pouvez nous rejoindre gratuitement un autre jour (selon nos disponibilités). Vous n'aurez cependant pas droit à un remboursement.
- Un remboursement n'est possible que si la visite n'a jamais lieu pendant que vous êtes en Islande et que vous n'avez jamais la possibilité de participer à la visite, ce qui se produit parfois en raison de conditions météorologiques défavorables.
- Le circuit est opéré en minibus et ne dépasse pas plus de 19 passagers.
- La disponibilité des visites ne peut être vérifiée sans réservation préalable. Les cartes de crédit ne seront débitées qu'après confirmation de la disponibilité affichée.
- Cette visite a lieu la nuit, veuillez vous habiller en conséquence avec des vêtements chauds. Apportez un chapeau, des gants et une écharpe. Des vêtements imperméables sont toujours recommandés lors d'une tournée en Islande.
- Veuillez vérifier votre boîte de réception électronique, nous vous enverrons un courriel le jour de votre départ dans l'après-midi pour vous informer si la visite a lieu ou si elle est annulée.

Si votre hôtel ne figure pas sur notre liste, ou si vous n'êtes pas certain de savoir où nous rejoindre pour la prise en charge, veuillez nous envoyer un courriel.

Very happy with this tour, it was well organised and the communication with the company was excellent. We managed to see the lights, albeit not as spectacular as I’d hoped, although our guide worked hard to find the best locations for us. Obviously the tour group has no control over the conditions! The sky was clear, though, and even seeing the stars was amazing. The hot chocolate and snacks went down a treat, and we had really good quality photos from the guide available after a few days. Would recommend this tour.

We were really desperate to see the Northern Lights. We had traveled to the south of Iceland to see them and we had no luck due to weather. We booked a trip with EastWest for the evening before our tour but it was cancelled because of cloud cover. I really appreciated that as the company could have easily taken us out and taken our time and money. So I felt that this was a very honest company. This was also reinforced by the concierge of our hotel who said EastWest was the only company she would book for this kind of tour. Our tour guide Baldvin picked us up at our hotel. The van was incredibly comfortable and had WIFI. Big plus! Baldvin was very informative and was just as excited when he spotted the lights as the guests were. We were super lucky to see them. It was very special and was a highlight of the trip. It's not like anything I imagined. We could see them with the naked eye, but not as bright and stunning as through the camera lens. I appreciated that Baldvin included a bathroom break at an Icelandic gas station. We were able to get drinks and snacks which was another big plus for us. All in all I thought this tour was well done and very enjoyable.

We had a northern lights tours with Baldvin. We enjoyed this tour with him and it felt exciting to go find the northern lights and see if we would be lucky enough to see them. We felt he went above and beyond as a storm was coming the next day and he drove farther out so that we would have a clear enough sky to see them. We are able to see them and the photos turned out great!

Our tour to see the Northern Lights was very enjoyable, even in the very cold weather! Tour guide was knowledgeable and informative and he seemed very experienced in "finding" the Northern Lights, and we did! I believe prices are comparable to other tour groups. Reserving the tour through our hotel was very easy. I highly recommend EastWest as a tour source and would happily go with them again.

My wife really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the science in determining whether the lights would be visible or not. Unfortunately they’re not visible with the naked eye. You have to use your phone and take a picture , then the color of the lights come thru.

That behind the scenes work is a big part of how we try to give each group the best possible chance. We completely understand your comments regarding visibility. What you experienced is quite common, especially on nights with lower aurora activity. The camera can capture colors and details that the human eye cannot always see clearly, so the lights can appear faint or more like a glow in real time. On stronger nights, the aurora can be much more vivid to the naked eye, but as a natural phenomenon, this level of intensity cannot be guaranteed on any given evening.
