Itinéraire
Le point de rencontre. Un bâtiment emblématique qui représente l'arrivée du XXe siècle. Situé sur l'Explanada de España, il représente le style moderniste de la ville et est un bâtiment qui a marqué une époque dans le tourisme et le développement urbain. De là, nous commencerons notre parcours à travers la ville pour découvrir ses coins les plus charmants.
La mairie est le centre de la ville, d'où s'étendent la rue Mayor et le quartier de Santa Cruz. C'est un environnement plein de vie, de commerces, de monuments et de restaurants où les visiteurs peuvent profiter des modes de vie, des paysages urbains et de nos meilleurs produits. La mairie a été construite au XVIIIe siècle et abrite le point de mesure de toutes les hauteurs d'Espagne.
L'une des vues les plus emblématiques de la ville et de la vieille ville. Une église baroque qui résume l'histoire de la ville et d'où nous pouvons profiter de vues fabuleuses. L'église faisait partie des murs de la ville et abrite une intéressante collection d'art baroque. Juste à côté se trouve le musée d'art contemporain, d'où nous aurons une vue panoramique unique sur la ville.
Le château de Santa Bárbara est à l'origine de la ville musulmane d'Alicante. Il compte trois périodes de construction et explique les événements les plus importants que la ville a vécus, de la conquête musulmane à la guerre civile espagnole. Nous passerons par la Puerta de la Santa Faz pour atteindre le "matxo" du château (la partie supérieure), puis vous dégusterez un verre sur l'une des terrasses les plus magiques de la ville.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and the history of the area that he provided was excellent. The castle was amazing!

My wife and I met Javier. We started with a shuttle ride up to Santa Barbara Castle. As the shuttle ride wound its way up the castle Javier began telling us about the history of some of the sights/buildings the shuttle passed. When we made our way to the castle the history of the castle from the early beginnings to the present day continued. Javier was an amazing guide through history of not only the castle but also Alicante as far as the eyes could see. Our tour of the castle finished by walking down to Alicante through the barrio Santa Cru (?) known for it’s narrow pathways with white homes and blue color. Javier showed us discovered ruins in the city, churches, museums, the large nativity scene and so much more which I can’t describe here. It seemed that every time we turned a corner there was another piece of history which we happened upon. And with every turn there was someone who knew Javier. What could be more of a compliment than in a city that with every turn Javier was seemingly known by so many. Javier we can only say thank you for sharing your knowledge of Alicante and Spain with us. Great job!

I would give this tour company a zero if I could. They didn’t show up and left us stranded. We called them 10 times, sent messages and waited for 45 minutes. They ruined our only day in Alicante. Do not book with this company.

Tour guide never showed up and we tried calling 10 different times and no answer. Contacted Viator to hopefully get refunded.
