Fascinating insight to the history.
What a great introduction to the RAH, with a behind-the-scenes look at the boxes, royal box, kings room plus lots of stories and history thrown in. Would highly recommend. Had a great guide in Mandy, who is very well connected!

Thoroughly enjoyable tour
My mum and I toured Royal Albert Hall and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide was wonderful and we loved all the history and extra bits of information throughout the tour. We even heard a world-famous pianist practising before the performance tonight. The tour is well worth the time and the Cafe also has some delicious cakes.

We’re happy with this one hour tour. Our guide Brian is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information, detailed and thorough, about the Royal Albert Hall.

Fantastic tour
I took the Royal Albert Hall Tour in August 2026. In a word it was fantastic. I bought my ticket online. Our tour guide Derek was excellent and a walking encyclopedia about Royal Albert Hall. The tour was enhanced by photos on an iPad like device which we wore around our neck. After an initial 20 minutes spent explaining the history of Royal Albert Hall, we climbed up to the seats for a great view of the stage and ceiling. We saw the Royal Family Box, the Royal Retirement Room and a wonderful view of the Prince Albert Monument. We went up to the highest level before descending and finishing the tour. The tour lasts about one hour. After the tour, I had some apple juice in the Royal Albert Hall Cafe and visited the shop. I highly recommend the tour and it is very worthwhile.

It lasts about an hour, which is perfect. You will get to see the inside of the auditorium and if you’re lucky you get to hear or see someone rehearsing.
