Au cours de cette visite, vous découvrirez les histoires qu'ils ont essayé d'enterrer, les endroits où le pouvoir a été acheté avec faveurs, et comment Galveston est devenu l'un des quartiers rouges les plus célèbres d'Amérique, tous cachés à la vue de tous.

À l'origine, l'hôtel Oleander de 1913. Inscrit dans le Livre vert comme refuge dans le sud de Jim Crow. Un endroit où les voyageurs afro-américains pourraient rester pendant leur voyage à Galveston.
Le point de départ de l'empire de la masse. Premier barbier de Sam et Rosarrio où ils ont illégalement acheté du vin et des spiritueux pour leur invité assoiffé
Anciennement la maison de Molly Waters. Une des maisons les plus célèbres de l'île. Molly est la plus infâme Madame de Galveston, qui a pris sa retraite d'un millionnaire. La maison est en cours de restauration.
À l'apogée du quartier rouge, le chemin de fer amenait chaque jour 40 000 hommes en quête d'amour.

Excellent tour & guide

Learned so much and had fun

Enjoyable evening
Noelle was very entertaining. She was aware of loud noises and would pause to make sure everyone was keeping up. We got so much information and a new appreciation for the city’s history.

Noelle Made the Tour Worthwhile
Noelle was our tour guide. She was great! She had good energy! She was well studied in her knowledge of the subject, along with the architecture and mafia presence. And though I feel I am well-versed in the history of Galveston, she provided several facts about the female workers and the area history that I did not know. She answered all my questions with enthusiasm! But, I cannot give a five star/excellent rating. The reason is that I found the tour price to be rather high. For my partner and I the total cost was $65.73 and this was after a $5 discount through the galveston.com website. After paying for the costly tour, it was painful to dish out more cash for tipping our guide. This is not a reflection on our tour gude, rather the tour company.
