Ce quartier est caractérisé par la culture de la communauté juive (la plus grande communauté juive d’environ 80 000 habitants vit à Budapest, dans le centre-est de l’Europe) qui s’est installée ici il ya plusieurs siècles. La troisième plus grande synagogue au monde (la deuxième en Europe), le musée et les archives juives avec une riche collection et les institutions religieuses et culturelles juives les plus importantes se trouvent ici. Le quartier est sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO depuis 2002. Découvrons ensemble l'histoire, les costumes, les traditions et les festivals! La première étape de notre visite du patrimoine juif est la deuxième plus grande synagogue du monde, connue sous le nom de synagogue de la rue Dohány. Des expositions, des monuments commémoratifs et bien plus encore nous attendent à explorer, tels que le mémorial de l'Holocauste, le cimetière des héros, l'arbre de vie avec le parc commémoratif Wallenberg.
Nous visitons le musée juif, qui contient une collection unique d'artefacts juifs (par exemple le plus ancien fleuron de la Torah au monde) avec une histoire incroyable.
Histoire fascinante avec l'art local; célèbres bars en ruine; boutiques éclectiques; galeries avant-gardistes et bons restaurants - Le quartier juif (site du patrimoine mondial) est devenu l'un des endroits les plus passionnants et populaires de Budapest. Lors de notre visite à pied, nous explorons les points forts de ce quartier animé et, bien sûr, en parlant de la longue histoire de la communauté juive hongroise.
Nous découvrons la petite communauté orthodoxe avec leurs habitudes et coutumes de la vie quotidienne en visitant la petite synagogue orthodoxe paisible.
La dernière synagogue du Triangle juif est la synagogue de la rue Rumbach avec des histoires intéressantes. Remarque: pour le moment est en reconstruction.
L'un des monuments intéressants de la capitale, le mémorial des Chaussures sur le Danube. Nous visitons pour connaître l'histoire derrière ce monument exceptionnel.

We had a wonderful tour with George. He was informative and fun to be with. Highly recommend Geroge and this tour.
Our tour guide, György was fabulous. He met us at the lobby of our hotel and provided us with an informative walking tour of the surrounding area on the way to the Jewish quarter of Budapest. He was incredibly knowledgeable of Budapest and the Jewish history. We thoroughly appreciated all he had to offer in seeing the important sites in the area, including but not limited to the synagogues, museum, memorials and current cultural flair of the local area. In addition to the walking, he took us on the Metro to the river bank to see the Parliament building and the important, solemn Shoes on the Danube memorial. He provided us with so much important information of this part of Budapest’s history, and was polite and professional too. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Budapest.

George was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide. Everything was perfect from meeting me at the hotel to drop off. Very emotional day but light moments with chimney cake and small talk. As I was solo, George did the usual tour but offered options and insights throughout the day to be sure I saw everything I should or wanted to. This tour is a must for anyone who wants a history of the Jewish story in Budapest

<p>Rashad is one of the most knowledgeable historians on Jewish events I have ever heard. He gave us an overview of world history as it related to Jewish people as well as in depth descriptions of the ghettos where thousands died from exposure, starvation, and Nazi bullets. The most striking portion of the tour was the depiction of the men,women and children who were shot and thrown into the Danube illustrated by empty shoes at the river side. The tour was well worth more than its cost.</p>
