Nicholas was very informative, friendly and easy to understand. He made sure we saw everything and understood the historical significance of what we were looking at.
We are so happy we booked this tour. Our guide, Nicolas, was so warm and friendly, he catered the tour around our interests (history) while making sure to share with us all there is to know regarding the palace. He kept the tour fun with various anecdotes, as well as interactive by having us guess the purpose of some of the silverware. We had so, so much fun! Also, to our luck, we were the only ones who’d booked the tour, so it was basically a private tour! Highly recommend our guide Nicolas. You can tell he enjoys what he does, and it was so much fun learning the history of this important monument, the dynasties that ruled from it, and discussing it all with him throughout the tour. Thank you, Nicolas!
We spent two hours touring the Royal Palace of Madrid. King Felipe VI does not live there, but he uses the palace monthly for ceremonial events like greeting ambassadors, holding holiday concerts and for signing official documents in formal ceremonies. It was big, over 3,000 rooms. We saw 24 of them. Still impressive. Our guide was really good. He helped us to understand the legacy of Spanish Royal Family for the past 500 years. Good factual information as well as an interesting narrative throughout the tour. There are so many tours of the Royal Palace out there. Why pick this one? 1) Tour Length, not too long and you won't get information overload. 2) The Guides. Viator really has done a nice job of selecting folks who have passion to tell the story of the Palace and Royal Family and bring them to life. Our guide had a great iPad filled with pictures he used through the tour to emphasize points and show the Eoayal Family today.
Nico was a great guide. He even opened up a new time slot to accommodate my family since the other one was at full capacity. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We would highly recommend booking him for your next tour.
Nicholas our guide was great. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable not only about the palace but Spanish and European history as well. A very enjoyable and informative tour.
Nicholas was very friendly and informed about the palace. It was thorough but not belabored. My teenage daughter and I both enjoyed it very much. He also gave us some tapas recommendations after the finish.
Nico was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommend – we learned a lot about the Royal Palace and a lot of interesting related historical facts.
Nico was a fabulous tour guide of the Royal Palace in Madrid. He went above and beyond using images on his tablet to augment what we were learning. Highly recommend!!!
Thank you Nico - what a wonderful tour. I have to confess that I approached this tour with some scepticism. A wander around a very large building - how interesting could that possibly be? How wrong I was! Nico brought the people, the building, the decor and Spanish history to life. The breadth of his knowledge - his command of English - his ability to tell the stories of the people and the building was both fascinating and indeed entertaining. Nico delivered a wonderful tour for my wife and I which we greatly enjoyed.
We had a great experience at the palace. It was very interesting and educational. Very beautiful!!!!
