Situé dans la partie nord-ouest du Qatar, le fort d'Al Zubarah a été construit à côté des ruines d'un ancien fort. Al-Zubarah était autrefois un port florissant et un centre de commerce, de pêche et de perles. Aujourd'hui inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, cette zone protégée est devenue l'un des sites archéologiques les plus importants du Qatar. Une équipe internationale d'archéologues et d'experts en antiquités, dirigée par l'Autorité des musées du Qatar, a découvert de nombreux artefacts exposés dans le fort rénové.

This time I followed the group on a small loop in northern Qatar and got a deep sense of Qatar's history and culture, as well as its beautiful coastline to the north. The guide was very patient, the instructions were in place and took care of me along the way. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great tour of Northern Qatar; Sad couldn’t go to the Olafur Eliasson art installation as the road was closed. Only did 3 of the 4 itinerary but the rest of the experience was good.
