Jusqu'à ce jour, des équipes d'archéologues poursuivent leurs fouilles pour développer et entretenir son héritage. Nous continuons ensuite à visiter un village qatari traditionnel avec des maisons faites de calcaire et de boue et, à Al Shamal, vous pouvez voir Bahreïn par temps clair et suivre l'ombre au bord de la mer. Cette installation spécifique au site située dans le désert juste au nord d'Al Zubarah explore comment notre perception du monde influence notre relation avec la réalité.

Situé dans la partie nord-ouest du Qatar, le fort d'Al Zubarah a été construit à côté des ruines d'un ancien fort. Al-Zubarah était autrefois un port florissant et un centre de commerce, de pêche et de perlage. Désormais classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, cette zone protégée est devenue l'un des sites archéologiques les plus importants du Qatar. Une équipe internationale d'archéologues et d'experts en antiquités, dirigée par l'Autorité des musées du Qatar, a découvert de nombreux artefacts exposés dans le fort rénové.
L'ancien village de perles et de pêcheurs est l'endroit à voir pour ceux qui s'intéressent au patrimoine et en apprennent davantage sur l'histoire du Qatar.

the experience is great! it was a short half day trip but my guide saloo was great at explaining all the sites and entertaining the guests! his knowledge of the place made me learn alot and i will definitely recommend this to people who want something different from the skyscrapers of doha

Some interesting sights outside of the main cities of Doha and Lusail, and Saloo is a wonderful driver/guide. The fish market was colorful, and the reconstructed Al Zubarah Fort was quite impressive and provided some informative historical background. The mangroves and old village were of lesser interest, at least for me. But the itinerary was delivered in full as promised, and Saloo took good care of us, treating us to spiced chai or coffee, providing water, and taking some creative photos. He also kept us comfortable and informed while driving, There was a fair bit of driving given the distances between the sights, but that was to be expected.
Very nice trip to the north of Qatar. We were with a group of 4. We've seen the fish market , mangroves, Zubarah fortress and an abandoned village. We even had rain today in Qatar. Thanks to our guide Saloon for a very nice day.
The tour covers really a lot in one afternoon and because of the coverage, the trip is closer to 5 hours or more, which is a nice thing seeing so many sights in the country. The variety of the stops at the fish market, on the purple island, Al Zubara fort and Jumail heritage village gives a great overview and understanding of the history and the presence of the country. The size of 6 people in the group is just perfect for exploration, it feels almost like a private tour. There were no further fees included, all the sights are free-of-charge to be visited and the complementary karak tea was one of the best ever tried. And last, but not least, without the outstanding attitude and professionalism of our tourguide Saloo, this tour could not have been a great adventure.
Very good to visit the north of the country, our guide Abdallah was excellent. We saw the fort of Zubarah, the mangrove forest and the ruins of an ancient fishing village.
