Description

i loved everything the tour guide showed us. she explained the history behind everthing very well and taught us a lot about the culture here in thailand. i learned so much from this experience and im very thankful for not only the experience, but also for having an amazing tour guide.
Anne was really amazing! Best day to the markets. Thank you for the hospitality and the coconut drink! THE BEST. The most amazing thing was the unexpected train that we took
Our tour had a packed itinerary, which, while ensuring we saw a lot, left little time for an in-depth exploration of the markets. The minibus provided for transportation was comfortable, but the design of the raised back seat made it less so for longer journeys. The train ride was a highlight for me, especially the view of the saltpans teeming with birds - a tip for future travelers is to bring binoculars for a better experience. When it comes to the market, be prepared for persistent sellers. They are quite adept at securing sales, especially if you show any interest, and are skilled in haggling. Overall, the tour was enjoyable, but some aspects, like the market visit, could benefit from more time.
The market is quite remote so we expected a quality visit. Other than that, our desire to learn and explore was not fulfilled. Transportation was fine but a two hour drive for a 5 minute boat ride on the floating market and only half an hour for food with no free time was disappointing. While the Maeklong market was nice (the train that goes through the middle of the market is folkloric but not particularly surprising), we were given very little explanation about these two markets. We almost felt like we had wasted half our day as we would have preferred to spend the time doing other things, like visiting other temples.
We recently took a tour to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and Maeklong Train Market with Bravo Indochina Tours, and overall, it was a good experience. The tour was well-organized, and our guide was knowledgeable, offering interesting insights into Thai culture and the history of these markets. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, while vibrant and colorful, did feel quite tourist-oriented. Despite the touristy atmosphere, it was still fascinating to see the array of boats and vendors, selling everything from local food to souvenirs. The Maeklong Train Market was also a unique spectacle, especially witnessing the market’s transformation when a train passed through. While we enjoyed the overall experience, those seeking a more authentic, less touristy experience might find these markets a bit commercialized. However, for first-time visitors or those looking to capture the essence of Thailand's popular markets, this tour is definitely recommended. The efficiency and organization of Bravo Indochina Tours made our day enjoyable and hassle-free.
The combination of these two unique markets made for an unforgettable experience. The hustle and bustle of the floating market, with vendors selling their goods from boats, was a sight to behold. And the Maeklong Train Market, where the stalls retract to make way for passing trains, was truly remarkable. Our guide was knowledgeable and made sure we didn't miss any of the highlights. Reccomend this tour.
A very helpfull experience with Bravo Indochina Tours! Two wonderful places all should see once in a lifetime 👍🏼
