The experience with Gringo Tours ended up being reasonable, but it was far below what we expected, especially considering the high price we paid for the convenience of having "everything taken care of." If you choose this company, I recommend that you confirm everything in writing and do not assume that what was agreed upon will be automatically fulfilled. The package included pick-up, transport, train, accommodation in Aguas Calientes, transport to Machu Picchu, entrance, guide, and return. The quality of the transport and accommodation was good and, in the end, the trip went as planned. The big problem was communication and fulfilling what had been agreed upon. Contact is made exclusively via WhatsApp and it was extremely difficult to get answers and basic information about schedules, accommodation, itinerary, and tickets. The day before the trip, we had practically no information and had to insist several times to get answers. The worst happened with the entry to Machu Picchu. Before booking, we confirmed several times what the route would be and made it very clear that we only wanted one of two specific options and that we did not accept certain alternatives. We were guaranteed several times that it would be like this. Days before the trip, they informed us that we would go precisely on the route we had refused. We had to call, insist, and discuss what had been agreed upon to get them to change it. Even on the day before/the first day of the excursion, the tickets continued to be sent with the wrong route. After renewed insistence, they guaranteed us that we would take the chosen route, but they never sent us the correct tickets. On the day of the visit, only the guide had the tickets and we never got to see them. Fortunately, we managed to get in and finally do the route we had asked for. In the end, the logistics worked, but not thanks to the peace of mind we expected when hiring a company to handle everything. On the contrary, we had to constantly insist, confirm, and worry about things that should have been guaranteed by the agency. It's a shame, because the services themselves were good. But the lack of communication and, above all, the lack of transparency and the initial failure to comply with what had been clearly agreed upon caused a large loss of confidence in the company.

The 2-day, 1-night tour to Machu Picchu. We booked at the last minute with Gringo Tours, who helped us obtain the tickets, organized all the bus transportation, the train tickets, the hotel in Aguas Calientes, and our guide Mauro was very kind and knowledgeable about Inca culture and history. We recommend booking your trip at the last minute with Happy Gringo and Juan.

Although they delivered on the trip, the process, preparation and communication was the worst I've experienced with a tour agency. They don't respond unless you have texted over and over again, they are dishonest and insincere. They forced med to take a 2 days tour to Machu Picchu which they could have arranges it in one day. They tried hard to sell the rainbow mountain tour with ATV despite me telling them that I want to do the hike. They said red valley is not included in the tour although their website clearly states that this could be an option, when asked why the website has this info, their answer was that they couldn't delete it and thw info ia old. It took me a few more tries until they said that it's possible to do the red valley hike which is outrageous! They sent me a payment link with extra service charge multiple times until I got mad at them and suddenly they could send me a payment link with the exact amount that I owed them. The guides they provide are disengaged, don't speak English very well. You would get your final itenerary late at night before your tour day and it's still changes suddenly at 3am in the morning when you're sleeping. I'm very disappointed in them, I chose them because they had good rating on trip advisor so I was shocked by the level of their service specially that they are more expensive than other tour agencies!

The Machu Picchu tour 2 days and 1 Night from Cusco at last minute reservation was very good. The transportation, the hotel, the train and the tour guide were professionals. We highly recommend Booking the 2 days tour at last minute with gringo Tours. Thanks for everything!

Never book a Machu Picchu tour here. I booked everything over two months in advance. I'd been in touch several times in the meantime, and they said everything would be taken care of. Initially, I opted for a one-day tour, but because the organizers were late with purchasing tickets, I had to change it to a two-day tour. In short, everything would be taken care of, including an overnight stay. Nothing could be further from the truth. I was picked up right on time by taxi for the train. A "one-way" train ticket had been booked, because the return ticket hadn't been booked at all. And that wasn't the only problem. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, it turned out that absolutely nothing had been booked. No Machu Picchu tickets, no tour, no hostel! I was standing in the village without a tour guide and without tickets. Ultimately, after much phone contact during which the organizers blamed everything on my alleged mistakes, I independently refunded my train ticket. After long and heated discussions in Cusco and over the phone, I received a partial refund, but not all. I still haven't received my train ticket back, which was $100. There are many other organizations in the region that do arrange tours, so definitely don't book this one! The police and other organizations have also been notified.

Mauro was our guide, with Happy Gringos. He was an excellent guide and did everything he could to make sure we made it to Machu Picchu and then that our experience at Machu Picchu was unforgettable. He took some amazing pictures of me on the site. It was incredible that the sun wasn't out (not too hot) and then later after our tour, it started pouring. Having had this as a place to visit for so many years, I'm thrilled beyond belief to have had the experience of being at Machu Picchu, and with the guidance of Mauro.

Daniel and Mauro did an amazing job to accommodate our stay at Machu Picchu. Initially we wanted to do a one-day trip, but they arranged amazingly the change.

The time in Machu Picchu with Ruben was amazing. I could’ve easily spent more time listening to him speak about the history of the place and Incas. As others have mentioned, logistics weren’t handled well (could be a cultural thing). For example, one guide got us to Aguas Calientes and then scheduled a time for us the next day to take the train up to Mach Picchu. The time came and went with no contact. I noticed another guide from the same company and asked him about it. Supposedly I was supposed to meet with him. It all ended well but better coordination would’ve been appreciated.

10/10 perfect trip. Thank you to Mauro for his kindness and knowledge. Would highly recommend! Exceeded my expectations.
