Nous pouvons commencer la visite à 9h00 ou à 14h00 en fonction de votre réservation. Notre guide vous accueillera à votre hôtel puis vous emmènera au complexe Ho Chi Minh - l'immense bâtiment destiné à exprimer la fierté des Vietnamiens au tout premier président - Ho Chi Minh (ou Oncle Ho), héros national de la libération, qui a fondé la République démocratique du Vietnam. Vous pouvez prendre la chance de visiter: 1. Mausolée de Ho Chi Minh. Le mausolée, composé de marbre et de granit, comprend trois bâtiments. Dans le deuxième magasin se trouve le célèbre corps du président, allongé comme s’il dormait dans les simples vêtements qu’il portait de son vivant. Remarques: Heure d'ouverture: 5 jours par semaine, sauf lundi et vendredi. Saison froide (de novembre à mars) de 8h00 à 11h00 Saisons chaudes (d'avril à octobre): de 7h30 à 10h30 Fermé une fois par an en octobre / novembre / décembre pour l'entretien du corps Aucun appareil photo, téléphone portable, tee-shirt d'épaule nue ou mini-jupe n'est autorisé à l'intérieur
2. Place Ba Dinh C’est là que se trouve le mausolée de Ho Chi Minh. C’est un site historique où le Président, Ho Chi Minh, a lu la Déclaration d’indépendance du Vietnam le 2 septembre 1945.
Refusant de vivre dans le palais présidentiel, le président Ho Chi Minh habitait dans la maison d’un électricien normal à proximité. La maison a deux étages et le président bien-aimé a vécu ici de 1958 jusqu'à son décès.
4. Pagode à un pilier Une ancienne pagode construite en 1049 sous la dynastie des Ly. Il existe une légende intéressante faisant référence à la construction de la pagode, selon laquelle le roi Ly Thanh Tong avait fait construire cette pagode en forme de lotus, sur la base de son rêve de fée, grâce à laquelle il avait donné un bébé. Remarques: Heure d'ouverture: La pagode est ouverte tous les jours de 8h00 à 17h00. L'entrée est gratuite. N'oubliez pas de porter des vêtements longs lorsque vous visitez une pagode.
5. Musée Ho Chi Minh Le musée a été construit sous la forme d’une fleur de lotus blanche, haute de près de 20 m, dont 3 étages. Plus de 2 000 documents et pièces de présentation sont exposés, reflétant systématiquement la vie et la cause de la révolution du président Ho Chi Minh depuis la fin du 19ème siècle. En venant ici, les touristes peuvent partager une partie de la dure vie de Ho Chi Minh.
Après cela, vous aurez le temps de visiter le temple de la littérature - la première université du Vietnam et le lieu de culte de Confucius. Ceci est souvent cité comme l’une des attractions touristiques les plus pittoresques de Hanoi. Construit à l'origine comme une université en 1070 dédiée à Confucius, aux érudits et aux sages, le bâtiment est extrêmement bien préservé et constitue un superbe exemple de l'architecture vietnamienne de style traditionnel. Ce site antique offre un lac de littérature, le puits de clarté céleste, des stèles de tortues, des pavillons, des cours et des passages autrefois utilisés par la royauté. En visitant le temple de la littérature, vous découvrirez des bâtiments historiques des dynasties Ly et Tran dans un lieu vénéré qui a vu des milliers de médecins diplômés devenir ce qui est devenu un mémorial de l’éducation et de la littérature. La visite se termine vers 12h00 (pour la visite du matin) ou 17h00 (pour la visite de l'après-midi).

I unknowingly booked the Ho Chi Minh tour for the day of his birthday! The Walking Tour club let me know when they confirmed my reservation. Also, because I had also booked the War Sites tour with them earlier in the week that had an itinerary overlap, they adjusted my schedule for me! May was my tour guide this day and she was a delight. She contacted me the night before to let me know meeting time and place and dress code. She walked me through the history of Ho Chi Minh while we visited the mausoleum, complex, and museum. Her English was quite good. And afterwards, she drove me on her motorbike to a nearby banh mi shop. I highly recommend supporting the Free Walking Tours!
Excellent half-day tour covering the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the Temple of Literature. The itinerary was well-paced and gave a great balance of history, culture, and local context, making it easy to understand the significance of each site. A special thanks to Kokonut, who made the experience even better. Very knowledgeable, engaging, and approachable—explaining details clearly while keeping the tour enjoyable and interactive. This is the second tour with Kokonut, my favorite local guide. I chose to visit the temple of literature and Hoa Lo prison from 9 am to 12 noon. Kokonut helped explain details of the architecture and the cultural importance of the national figures. What impresses me the most is how the resilience of the Vietnamese people manifested throughout the course of their history. The interaction with the real local person will offer you more than what any travel book can do.
Nobody told me that the Ho Chi Minh complex was closed on the day of the tour until i was ready to go.
Quang was a fantástic guide, we went to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and walked around buildings there before heading to the Temple of Literature. Quang was knowledgeable, warm and good company. Highly recommend!

Excellent tour. Pamela was our tour guide. She is energetic, patient and shown willingness to give us a wonderful tour. She explained all the visiting sites in details to us and even took extra step to take us to visit Hoa Lo prison which was not in the tour itinerary. Both myself and my wife had a fantastic time with her and even met her twin sister, Tracy, who is equally a nice person and excellent tour guide 😀😀
We had a wonderful experience on our tour, despite a small scheduling change on our end. We had to shift our start time from 2pm to 3pm as we were returning from Ha Long Bay, and Tracy was very accommodating and understanding about the adjustment. Tracy, a young student, was an excellent guide—friendly, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took us around the Ho Chi Minh Complex and shared insightful information that really brought the history and significance of the site to life. Overall, Tracy’s helpful attitude and deep knowledge made the tour memorable. We truly appreciated her flexibility and would recommend her to anyone looking for an engaging and informative guide.
Giang (Kokonut) provided a lot of information on historical buildings, political influences, and the religious aspects of many sites inside the park.
