Dans notre transport touristique, de Cusco , nous irons au sud jusqu'à arriver à Santa Lucia, d'où une promenade d'environ 1 heure commencera, jusqu'à ce que nous atteignons la forteresse Waqrapukara, au cours de la promenade , vous pourrez observer de beaux paysages, déjà à la place du Guide donnera l'explication respective et parcourra tout le complexe archéologique de Waqrapukara, appréciera le Canyon qui se trouve dans l'endroit et les condors dans leur habitat naturel. Vous pouvez également prendre les meilleures photos. Après avoir profité du lieu, vous continuerez la promenade de retour vers l'endroit où le même transport touristique qui vous a ramené vous attendra, lors de la promenade de retour vous pourrez apprécier la lagune de Pomacanchi. Le même transport vous ramènera à la ville de Cusco.

The landscapes were wild, the hike exciting, and the fortress looked like it was part of the mountain itself.The guide explained so much about the Inca rituals and why Waqrapukara was important. Standing there, surrounded by cliffs and silence, felt spiritual.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this tour, but it turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my trip. The hike was challenging in parts, but the guide was so patient and encouraging. Reaching Waqrapukara felt like discovering a hidden gem.

Visiting the Waqrapukara complex and the hike. The views were amazing. The 4 to 4.5 hour mini van ride each way was very rough as there was 2 hours of it on windy dusty roads. No heater in the morning and no air conditioning in the afternoon made for an unpleasant ride. Their idea of air conditioning is too open a window and when you are at the back it makes no difference all you get is dust. I was also the only person there to speak English, the guide had very limited English and didn't even attempt to explain any of the history to me. If you speak Spanish it would probably be bearable but I felt very ostracised.
