Truly an amazing experience. We learned so much about the different fruits, trees, culture, etc. If you want to taste delicious fruit, cocao, chocolate, coffee etc it is a must!
Excellent, it is a beautiful place; I highly recommend it.
My family of four had a fabulous tour at Don Jorge chocolate and coffee farm. Fabrizio was the most engaging and fun tour guide we have experienced in all of our travels. They explained the process of growing the cacao beans, growing sugar cane, fermenting the beans, and creating the chocolate. We even got to create our own chocolate. My girls ground sugar cane so we could taste the juice. They made traditional hot cocoa over the fire for us to try. This was a top experience for our family in Costa Rica. We loved supporting a family business.
We loved this whole experience. The tour was amazing. The guide was informative. The process of learning about coffee and chocolate and sugar can juice and then making them all together as a group (we had only six in our group) was very enlightening, refreshing, and just fun. There was also a water fall on the property where we sat and relaxed and it was very peaceful and beautiful as well. I would love to go back again and take the same tour just because of how much we enjoyed it. Such a beautiful area and so much to learn and see and be fascinated by. We loved it!
Absolutely outstanding tour we went on yesterday, Daniel did an amazing job and so well worth it. Definitely would do it over again, so much history to learn. Thanks for the wonderful memory!!! :) John and Loretta
The tour was one of the best experiences of a lifetime! If you are thinking of choosing this experience JUST DO IT! You won’t regret it! Fabricio was the best guide. I was the only one on the tour which made it super cool. The experience of learning the beginning and ending stages of how coffee and cacao are made was very informative. Fabricio was very knowledgeable about all of the attractions we visited. Thanks for a wonderful experience Best cacao and coffee tour ever!!
Our family of five (including teens!) had the most incredible time on the Don Jorge Farm Tour. It ended up being one of the absolute best things we did during our entire Costa Rica trip. Our guide, Alex, was phenomenal—he went above and beyond to make the tour engaging for all of us. He is incredibly knowledgeable, hilarious, and genuinely passionate about what he does. If you're around La Fortuna, do not miss this! Highly recommend!
Highlight of the trip. Small family owned farm, wonderful people, both educational and very fun!
Beautiful, small family owned place. Wonderful friendly people, very informative, and well worth the money. The samples were amazing, And still enjoying the chocolate we made! The waterfall was beautiful and well worth the hike. Highly recommend!
This was an amazing tour. Very informative walk to see the plants. Then we stopped to press sugar cane. Then we sat down and made coffee and then chocolate. So fun and so interesting.
