Our tour guide was Steve, the Canadian living in Prague for many years. His knowledge of the history of the Czech Republic and all the empires and kingdoms that occupied the region was exceptional. He also knew all about the art, and the architecture in all the places that we visited. He delivered the information and entertaining, often humourous way. It was worth every penny, and even more. Best tour that I’ve ever had – ever.
Amazing tour with a very good guide. The guide was local but still spoke very good English, and knew a lot about the history of Prague and the castle. The castle was spectacular and the price was well worth the tour.
Great history of not just the castle but the grounds around the castle. Includes information about Charles bridge at the beginning of the tour
Touring the inside of Prague Castle with a guide is an absolute must when in Prague. It is a massive, beautiful complex of buildings containing centuries of history. There are so many people around at every turn and not a lot of signage that it would be somewhat difficult to navigate without a knowledgeable guide that can go in and out of the most important sites and condense the history. Our guide Misha was thorough, engaging, and hilarious. She would get more than 5 stars if that was an option. We went in without any knowledge of Prague’s history and came out history buffs! Thank you for a fantastic tour Misha!!
We really enjoyed the Prague Castle walking tour with Steve (I think) our Canadian tour guide. He was very engaging and informative, he knew exactly how to pace the tour interacting well with the whole group. The Prague Castle tour is a must do in Prague the whole Castle precinct is huge and having a guide did make a difference. This tour starts next to Charles Bridge with good info about the bridge as you walk across it, a tram ride to Castle and a fair amount of walking. Tour was a highlight and Steve gave us lots of good tips about Prague as well.
Thank you very much for your feedback; we are delighted that you were satisfied with our guide, Steve!
Steve who is the English speaking tour guide is courteous and always looks after the group. The sites we visited are loaded with lots of history and he tries to shows us in different angles. An excellent tour with lots of walking and lots to see and learn.

This is a very good, sometimes funny tour offering history and current information for Prague. The guide knew a lot about Prague and offered additional information the tour summary didn’t even touch. He was very good!

The castle tour was full of information about the castle but also about Prague and the Czech republic too. Our tour guide, Jan, was awesome!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
An experience that should have been formidable because it was a private guide ended up being a nightmare. The guide Catherin was the most boring guide we have ever had on any tour. We believe that a guide should make the tour enjoyable and make your audience want to hear more. We left the tour 15 minutes after it started; it was simply so absurd that we decided to do the tour on our own. Also, neither Viator nor Praga Tour have taken responsibility for the mistake of having an incompetent guide and have simply apologized for the fact. So my recommendation is to hire any other agency that offers a free tour, since the guide will strive to make their tour enjoyable and fun to get good compensation, and not to pay in advance, since it is obvious that the effort lacks interest. Keep this in mind when booking anything with this tour.
We're sorry your visit didn’t go as expected.
