I have toured around 10 castles on my trip and this is by far my favorite one. Make sure you see the gardens also. I absolutely loved this castle, it's a must see. It's very popular with locals as well for picnics, walking dogs, family outings. Many dogs, families and children. If you enjoy parks and nature you will enjoy this as well as the castle. Many locals visit just for the grounds and nature, that's how great this visit is. The only bad thing is the traffic arriving & leaving because it is so popular
What can I say about this beautiful place, other than we had an wonderful day out. The grounds of the castle were absolutely stunning with beautifully landscaped gardens. We enjoyed peaceful walks in the woodlands with stunning coastal views. We enjoyed coffee and delicious cake after our walk. The tour of castle was amazing, with its spectacular oval staircase and impressive collections. The staff were happy, friendly and knew their history. I would highly recommend this place for all to enjoy.
I would given 5 stars if it weren’t for the wind farm stop. Very boring and unnecessary. I would have rather spent the extra time at Culzean castle. We were only given 2 hours for the tour and to have lunch there. We didn’t get to see the walled garden or any of the other part of the grounds. The Robert Burns stuff was ok, but wasn’t interested in seeing any of that either. Our tour guide John was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and full of stories! We enjoyed him.
Gary was very knowledge and friendly. Made the trip comfortable and fun. Had plenty of time to visit each stop. Gave clear instruction on what time to be back. I recommend Rabbies tours to everyone.
Great excursion. Highly recommend visiting the castle and Robert Burns museum and cottage. Had a good group of people
Difficult to access. Some of our group did not go because of the terrain. They stayed in the coffee shop.
Hi Sally, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I'm sorry to hear that some of the locations were difficult to access and not all of your group were able to enjoy the stops fully. We do our best to clearly indicate which locations we'll be visiting so that you can have a look at them to ascertain their accessibility information if that's something you're concerned about. And if you're not sure where to get started our team are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. The attractions we visit on this tour definitely to have their limitations due to their age, but they are all set up to welcome visitors of different ability levels and allow for plenty of access to the main points of interest. Of course we appreciate that everyone has different needs, so all activities and stops are optional and we would never encourage you to participate if uncomfortable. I hope that despite some of the issues with access you and your group still came away with some wonderful memories of the day and that you'll be back to visit us again soon. And for further information regarding the accessibility of various stops along the way remember our team are here to help. Thanks, Jo
Our family of 5 took the Ayrshire tour several days after enjoying the West Highland Rabbies Tour. And it turns out the first tour wasn't just a fluke... this second one was great as well! Bobby was hilarious and knowledgeable. My wife and I snagged the seat right behind the driver and with me on the aisle I had a great view out the windshield. As with the tour with Nicola, I was glad it wasn't me at the wheel! Both busses were Mercedes 16 seaters. Airconditioned as well. No toilets though so limit the beer intake at lunchtime! If we return to Scotland we'll be taking more Rabbies tours for sure!
The most memorable part of our tour was the beautiful countryside. All the gorgeous fields of green. Ian was an excellent tour guide.
Amazing. Went myself for a few hours can't believe what I have seen absolutely stunning. I want to move from Liverpool great day out bit chilly so put on lairs
John was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Culzean castle was beautiful and the Robbie Burns tour was super informative.
