What a great trip. The guide was brilliant and it’s not often you get driven by a genuine local. The hosts were excellent and Celia in particular was enormously knowledgeable and approachable. Would definitely recommend
We had a fantastic time on this tour! Oingt was one of the most beautiful towns I’ve visited and we loved every minute of exploration and wine tasting! I loved that you could enjoy this tour no matter how much experience you have with French wines, we learned so much about the wines and the region. The pickup and dropoff in Place Bellecour was perfect for exploring in Lyon. I would absolutely take this tour again!!
Golden stones Beaujolais Wine Tour with Tastings from Lyon Lyon We believe we were scammed 1064405296 I would like to complain about this tour, it was advertised as a wine tour, the driver knew nothing about where he was going, he was googling where he could go, had no itinerary and didn’t even know what wineries were open. We travelled 2 and a half hours arriving at 4 wineries that were closed. We then took reign and told him to take us to a restaurant, we directed him to one small winery then he hurried us home to another booking.
This was the most appalling tour imaginable . The guide did not speak English . He had no set itinerary and was repeatedly googling wineries that might be open . Over 3 hours we drove to several wineries which were closed . We only did one wine tasting that we organised for ourselves with the help of a local cafe owner. It was 3 hr before we stopped at a cafe for a glass of wine and toilet break . Unbelievably disappointing. I will be seeking a full refund .
Very comfortable transportation with a friendly and knowledgeable guide, Roman.
Friendly, charming landscape. La Ricottiere, the 2nd stop was great wine. Too bad they don’t ship! Not enough time to enjoy more!
This was a great tour that I wish we would have done more of! Our guide Roman was awesome. He had a lot of expertise and was able to provide a lot of information without it being dull. You can tell he has a love for it that shines through. The wines we tried were great- both from a local vineyard (which has some incredible wines) and a co-op in the beautiful old town of oingt.
There is some limited walking.on steep streets in the small towns in Beaujolais Country. I didn't have trouble with it but some of the people in my group did. The Guides were great!
It’s 4 hours in total - about a 2 hour van ride (1 hour there and 1 hour back). We only went to 2 wineries with a 35 minute stop to walk around a small village. The wine was subpar. Could have done without the village tour and gone to another winery. I would recommend this trip.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! The tour was interesting, the medieval village was very nice to visit. Learned a lot about beaujolais wines!
