Visitez deux domaines viticoles de la région délimitée de l'Algarve, guidés par un expert en vin, et acquérez des connaissances approfondies sur tous les aspects du monde du vin et du processus de vinification. Pour le déjeuner, cuisine portugaise traditionnelle dans un restaurant typique de Silves. Cette ville historique, qui était auparavant la capitale du royaume maure de l'Algarve, est située dans la campagne, entre la côte et les montagnes de la région et ici nous pouvons trouver une gastronomie portugaise et algarvienne très traditionnelle avec des influences océaniques et intérieures.

Situé au nord de Portimão, déjà sur le comté de Silves. Il s'agit d'une production viticole exclusive, celle située le plus au nord de la région, au début des montagnes de Monchique. Appartenant à un couple portugais-français qui s'est rencontré à Bordeaux, où il est né et a grandi entouré par l'influence du vin. Ils ont déménagé dans la région au début du siècle pour démarrer ce projet à partir de zéro. Dans les pentes de la rivière Odelouca Vlley, ils ont planté leur vignoble et construit leur petite cave bien équipée, qui abrite également une salle de dégustation, une salle de barriques et un laboratoire.
Situé sur la zone frontalière nord de Portimão et Alvor. Avec la grande montagne de Monchique, qui domine la vue lorsque l'on est dans les vignes, cette grande propriété possède également des zones de croissance de chênes-lièges, de champs de blé et d'orangers. Dans la famille depuis 1865 et producteurs de raisins depuis longtemps, cette ferme a construit sa cave moderne en 1999 et a été la première à produire des vins d'appellation d'origine certifiée en Algarve. Sur l'esplanade, à la boutique ou aux tonneaux de chêne est visible la tradition de ce domaine familial.

Despite a cloudy day, this wine tour was a great all day experience! We chose the lunch inclusion over the Silves city tour and happy we did! The wine and food we got to experience was excellent (and stories behind them). We visted the town of Silves on a different day. The two wineries we visited were different - each delivering their own twist on taste and quality. We really enjoyed the reds at Quinta do Frances, and in particular the Touriga Nacional. A full bodied red that is unique. The syrah was excellent as well. Great views from their patio as well. The second winery was the Convento do Paraiso which had beautiful whites and roses - in a beautiful old mill by the water (former convent). We were impressed by our guide Fabio (who owns the business) and the sharing of local information, history and family traditions. He was able to share many of the food creations and/or items we had at the lunch - the pan fried black pork was outstanding! The goat cheeses are fantastic as well. We went on this tour with another couple and a family member. We are experienced wine enthusiasts and the other three were "new" to the wine making area. Despite two signifcantly different backgrounds, Fabio did a great job making it all work (more in depth at time and providing a great overview for all to enjoy).

A fabulous way to see the beautiful hillsides of Alentejo, while learning about the local history, wineries, and their farming practices. We learned so much about the growing process, the types of grapes, and the opportunity to see the production process. Fabio is a treasure trove of the local stories and made for a wonderful day. This tour allowed us to interact with the local people, enjoy delicious food, and offer a special experience.

We had a wonderful experience, it was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Portugal! Fabio, our tour guide, picked us up and returned us to our condo after the tour, and he was incredible He was very friendly and knowledgeable, not only about the wine but the area we were visiting. We loved the fact that it was just the 4 of us in our group with him. The wines at each winery were very enjoyable, the lunch spot was incredible and the food fantastic. A great excusrsion, I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Algarve. A visit to a small producer and then a visit to a larger commercial vineyard. Then a beautiful lunch in Silves. Fabio is an excellent guide, he has great knowledge of the area and the viticulture in the region.
