For my 60th birthday and my sons 25th birthday we booked a trip to the hot springs and I can't reccomend it enough. The trip starts in the city with a good few mile drive along the city as you head towards the outskirts and make one last stop for drinks and snacks. After that stop the travel is on a dirt and gravel path with a significant amount of distance being on a bumpy road with plenty of beautiful sights and mountains surrounding the road. After the dusty dirt path you arrive at the mountain springs where the mountains overlook a campsite and multiple pools for relaxing. The natural springs have been formed into pools, each at different temperatures which meant that there was plenty of options for comfort. Additional amenities were a small store for snacks, and facilities for changing. After about an hour there swimming was a call to packup and then make the drive back to the shop in reverse with a stop for tacos along the way before heading back. Overall the trip was incredible, approachable, and well managed for an off the beaten path experience. The ATV's were easy to drive and for a first timer like my son he picked up on it very well. He and I both wish that there was a bit more trail work and mountain climbing on the route but it was still absolutely beautiful in the valleys with the peaks rising around the trail. The dust was a bit much but it was a dry season so I would plan accordingly if you visit. The springs were absolutely stunning, the mountains around tower around the pools in the valley, the fairy lights are a nice touch and the pools were so comfortable. It was a good remote location as well so it was not very busy, plenty of space, and very relaxed. As a note, the tour does not pay for the hot springs, it's an additional on site charge. We both got pretty sunburned as well, do bring sunscreen and take care of yourself. Overall an amazing trip and highly recommended, just pack some sunscreen and be ready to get dusty.
Hi Alvin, sorry to hear the sun got you good! Yes the trail is a bit bumpy but that’s what makes a great adventure. Overall we’re happy to hear your ATV experience to the hot water springs was not a waste of your time and you had a blast. Best regards Emilio
