We just did the Morey ruins and salt flats tour form Urubamba. Due to our Group tour we had to get a ride back to Cusco. Carlos did a great job to accomadate us and add that into our tour. Our guide Willy was outstanding! He was personable and very informative. He wantcabove and beyond in giving us so much information. He made our tour very enjoyable. Our driver was also good. The tour itself was perfect. The salt flats and Morey are a must do. Our stop at the textile place was very good. I would highly recommend Come See Peru! Thanks Carlos and Willy.
Excellent adventure on a private tour with our guide Willy. They picked us up from our lodge and gave us a fantastic tour of the sights and provided much information on the history of the Inkas. His information gave us a better understanding of the area and the culture. The tour gave us plenty of time at both Maras and Moray, and we didn't feel rushed. I highly recommend this tour.
Several weeks before my trip to Peru I worked with Come See Peru to add a few locations to my itinerary that are somewhat off the beaten path. I also booked transportation from the Cusco airport to Ollantaytambo to acclimate before going higher. Unfortunately, within hours of reaching Ollantaytambo, the person I was traveling with was hit full force by altitude sickness - headaches, pulmonary edema, and pneumonia. I contacted Come See Peru, told them the situation, and that the person I was traveling with was not allowed to travel above her current elevation, which sadly included the places we had planned to go. Come See Peru first postponed our itinerary a day in hopes my travel companion would feel better. When she didn’t, they rearranged an a tour. Our driver from Cusco to Ollantaytambo was Manuel. He was amazing. Even though he doesn’t speak English, and my Spanish is terrible, we became good friends and found ways to laugh and joke around. The tour guide to Moray and Maras Salt Mine was Bernabe. He is also amazing. He was able to answer every question, and helped me understand so much more about the culture, I highly recommend him.
Johnathan is the best tour guide we had in all of Peru. We would absolutely tour with Johnathan and Come See Peru again!!!
Fantastic half day trip! I connected with Julio from Come See Peru thru phone messaging and his communication was excellent, very fast and was good at explaining everything and what to expect. The day of the tour, our guide Albert and the driver arrived promptly at the hotel. They took us to the Salt mines, Moray, chincherro with Alpacas and Llamas. We were able to stop to get souveniers near salt mines and also amazing pictures. We ard 2 adults and 2 kids. The driver was a safe and good driver. Albert the tour guide was very knowledgeable and was very friendly and accommodating. 10 out of 10! Would use them again!
Our half-day tour of the Moray Ruins & Salt Flats was amazing. From the time of booking to the completion of our tour, the communication was great. We were picked up at our hotel punctually as discussed (and dropped off afterwards within the timeframe). From there, Carlos our guide provided us with a lot of interesting information and was always willing to take pictures of us or even make extra stops so that we can capture the beautiful landscapes around us. Enough time was allowed at every stop which was much appreciated. Our driver Christobal also assured that we were safe with his great driving skills. But the thing we appreciated the most was that the tour was available from Ollantaytambo (shorter drive than from Cusco) and that we were able to only have our small family group of 4 people for the tour. We would definitely recommend this tour to others. Ginette
Our tour was from Ollantaytambo, not Urubamba, but Carlos (guide) and Rene (driver) provided an outstanding experience. We highly recommend you spend a few days acclimating in Sacred Valley and include the Moray ruins and salt flats on your itinerary. Carlos's English was impeccable and his knowledge of the ruins, the salt flats, and all the areas we were driving through—and more—is vast. We had two smaller stops throughout the day including for some local chocolate and vanilla bread, which was very delicious and also a visit to sample chicha and also learn all about how it is made, we tasted some delicious Peruvian chocolates that were enhanced with salt from Maras along with a few other salted seasoning mixes, which was actually a fun and interesting experience. There is so much more to Peru than Machu Picchu (although we certainly are including that in our trip). But understanding Sacred Valley really is enhancing our trip, and visiting from Ollantaytambo also means that we also were the first to arrive at the salt mines before all the visitors arriving from Cusco, which made our picture taking experience much better! We highly recommend Come See Peru if you are looking for an excellent and rich experience.
Your honest comments about our services mean a lot to us. It's fantastic that you had such a memorable trip! We’re continuously working to offer our guests exceptional experiences, and we appreciate the confidence you've placed in us.
A must-see in Peru! The Maras Salt Mines and Moray tour with alpaca farm was a unique and unforgettable experience. The stunning landscapes, fascinating history, and adorable alpacas made for a perfect day trip. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend this company - Carlos was a great guide, perfect English, passionate about his work and gave us many insights during our two days of guidance. We liked the first day so much that we booked another day with him. Cristobal the driver was lovely & friendly too and drove safely and well. The ruins were so much more interesting and rewarding with Carlos' knowledge. He took us to the less touristy parts of the ruins and provides architecture insights and history background as well. We also got lots of good food tips from him too and information about Peru and the Cusco region. We were initially hesitant in booking as it seems a bit expensive; however we would recommend that you just go ahead and book your tour! It's great and really worth it!
The BEST way to tour is with a small private tour and the team at come see Peru made the experience absolutely incredible. Nothing was rushed and the whole experience was calm, fun and educational. I booked really last minute at 9pm the night before our tour, Julio was a great help and was able to accommodate all of our requests. He arranged a slightly later collection for us as we had just spent a day travelling by minibus. Carlitos our guide was superb, his English is great. He was full of knowledge and able to answer every question we had about the 2 sites we visited. We also made an extra stop in Moras at a local families store for products from the salt mines and an additional explanation of how the salt flats are used. Nothing was too much trouble for our driver Cristóbal who was glad to stop at additional view points along the way and even took us to a fantastic lunch spot before driving us back to Urumbamba. The whole team went above and beyond our expectations and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
