L'un des principaux sites touristiques du pays. Eau, moulins à vent, maisons en bois, c'est là que le passé prend vie!
Cette barrière d'eau de 32 kilomètres de long est l'exemple le plus impressionnant de la gestion de l'eau aux Pays-Bas. Il relie les provinces de Noord Holland et de Frise.
Ce lieu pittoresque est la plus petite des «onze villes» de la province de Frise. Nous marchons le long du canal avec ses belles maisons anciennes avec une variété de pignons typiquement hollandais.
Nous nous arrêtons également au charmant village de pêcheurs d'Urk, où vous vous promènerez le long du phare et de l'ancienne église au bord de la mer. Cet endroit était autrefois une île avant la création de la province artificielle de Flevoland.
Enfin, nous rendons visite à Elburg. La porte d'entrée du XVe siècle vous conduit dans une ville médiévale où le temps s'est arrêté. La liste des monuments que vous trouverez ici est impressionnante et même des parties de la vieille muraille de la ville subsistent.

Simon was awesome! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared so much good information and did it in a fun manner. We would 100% recommend this excursion. We learned so much about the Netherlands, its history and its people and ways of life. Fascinating!
Our tour guide Adrian was fantastic. Really enjoyed learning a lot about the Netherlands reclaiming land from the sea, and all of the different cultures that surround this circular route that we took. Highly recommend.

The Discover the Netherlands tour guided by Simon was excellent and provided more than we expected. We wanted to see the impressive Dutch water management construction projects and the historic towns outside of Amsterdam and were very happy with the results. Simon is an experienced and professional guide who provided a lot of information, happily answered any question, and also knew when to talk with his customers and when to let the experience of seeing impressive water management projects and walking around historic towns sink in. It’s a relaxing experience, not so much walking but you’ll see the best views and learn the history of each places we visit. Simon is an awesome guide, he didn’t pressure us with the time.

The entire tour from beginning to end was wonderful and informative. Our tour guide, Simon was professional and super nice, the historical info he gave in each providence/town made history come alive. We had fun and had a wonderful lunch.
