Engaging walking tour right from the start. Each stop brought the neighborhood to digging into incredible bites & layers of history. The pastry and confectionery stops added to the adventure with just the right sized portions and discussion about their culinary artistry. We appreciated the efforts to work around a food allergy and to keep our younger traveler entertained along the way. Don’t let the idea of going uphill scare you from taking part of the tour- there are switch backs, resting stops and well timed tasting breaks. One of our favorite tours so far. We regret not buying a gift few items at some of the places we visited but we were able to find our way back to them walking down.
Get ready for a sugar load and lots of interesting information! Lancelot was easy to hear and to understand.
Lancelot was terrific! So many stories, very knowledgeable, personable, and introduced us to delicious treats! Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time on this two‑hour walking tour of Montmartre. Our guide was knowledgeable about the neighborhood’s rich artistic and cultural history, sharing stories of painters, poets, and the evolution of the area in a way that felt both engaging and effortless. A delicious part of the tour was his thoughtful selection of chocolates along the way. The variety was especially impressive — diverse in flavor and absolutely delicious. One of the most memorable moments was our visit to The Lemon Story, a charming shop that added a bright, unexpected twist to the culinary portion of the tour. It fit perfectly into the rhythm of the walk and gave us a refreshing taste of something unique to the area. Overall, this tour blended history, flavor, and local charm beautifully. If you want to explore Montmartre with someone who knows its past — and its pastries — inside and out, this is an excellent choice.
Loik was awesome. Fun stories, great experience, and wonderful treats. Highly recommend! Walked through the streets of Montmartre, experience local flavor and sites, and tasty pastries, marmalade, and chocolates. Just keep in mind it is a walking, tour up and down the hill of Montmartre. Loik set an easy pace, but just be aware.
Thank you very much for the kind review ! I’m delighted that you enjoyed the stories, the tastings, and discovering Montmartre’s streets and flavors. It was a pleasure having you on the tour.
It was a rainy and cold day when we did the tour; however, Lancelot was an amazing guide and truly made the most of it. His energy and knowledge completely elevated the experience. We sampled four incredible pastries — from delicate petit meringue cakes to a traditional French cake — along with a classic French hot chocolate. Everything was absolutely delicious. In addition to the food, we learned so much about the Montmartre area and the many famous residents who once lived there. The history and stories added so much depth to the experience. One important note: be prepared for a lot of walking. There are plenty of hills, stairs, and both ascending and descending steps. By the end, you will definitely have earned a beverage (and maybe a few extra pastries!). Would we do the tour again? Yes — absolutely. However, we would be mindful of who we bring along, simply because of the amount of walking and stairs involved.
Fascinating tour about the history of Paris, the Montmarte area and the artists who spent their time there. On top of that visited some yummy pastry shops / artisan producers who all had a very interesting story. Loik my guide is an excellent story teller. I have visited Montmartre many times but for the first time, I really felt connected to it.
Great experience and many tragic stories to enjoy. Fascinating and would recommend this tour for anyone with a love of pastry and sweets.
Luik had great stories and everything we sampled was delish!! Be ready to slowly walk the hill to the top.
Great, friendly & insightful tour with super friendly guide. Loïc shared interesting stories and made us discover lovely local pastry shops. We had a wonderful afternoon and we highly recommend this great Paris tour of Montmartre!
