We really liked every minute of this tour. Miran (our guide) fulfilled totally what's written in the ad of the tour. He takes the time to explain with real footages and pics, no question is a taboo. He explains it with heart and knowledge and in an inviting way, that encourages you to ask. The tour takes between two and three hours. Most of it with the car, there are some short walks and nice places to see Mostar from a different angle.
This was the most heart touching tour I have ever had the privilege to be on. If you are in Mostar please do take the opportunity to go on this one, it will stay with you as a lifetime memory. The tour guide was amazing, all credit to him for doing this tour.
Learned a lot about the complex war of 92/95. Special to experience how close the war is with bullet holes in the buildings and the passionate/intense way the guide told the stories.
We actually did two tours with iHouse: The Death of Yugoslavia with Miran and Mostar Shelters with Dario. Both were great and very interesting! Since both tackle historic topics of the recent past, we were afraid that they might overlap, but they don't and in fact go very well together! Our Mostar Shelters tour took us to several places in Mostar that were hit by the Bosnian War (1992-95) and tells Mostar's particular story about it's siege. Thanks a lot for all the insights and taking us around Mostar.
Dario took four of us in a van, with some walking, on the most informative and personal tour of the war-side of Mostar. His passion for his homeland and the destruction that was perpetrated on it gave us a completely different experience of Mostar compared to the tourist shops either side of the beautiful bridge. This tour was the best value and three hours we spent in Mostar and gave us access to parts of Mostar we would never have been able to visit as tourists staying in the Old Town. We would highly recommend this tour and thank Dario so much for breaking down such complicated material in such an accessible and identifiable way especially for those of us in the world who have never experienced war.
Beautiful tour with Dario, really reliable and nice guide, took us to know the true story of a fantastic country. Nice and very prepared, he managed to talk for 3 hours of war without being heavy or boring, indeed, he told the story alternating it with personal stories. Great everything, the tour and the guide, to do absolutely to know the history of this beautiful country
We did the tour of Mostar and we loved it. Miran was our guide and explained everything very well. We've learned a lot from Mostar's history. I contacted Miran from Madrid and she has been watching us all along. Highly recommended this agency
Did the Mostar shelters tour and it was great. Our guide knew a lot about the history of the wars in the 90's which was very interesting to hear. This tour also takes you to the top of the mountain with the cross on it, which gives a beautiful view over the city.
We were in Mostar several times, but still had many questions about what exactly happened. We already knew a lot about the conflict in general. Our guide Miran gave a great
