NB : La visite se déroule en langue Anglaise. Voyagez dans le temps et découvrez l'histoire médiévale de Vilnius, en explorant le passé de la ville et ses souverains légendaires. Des anciens colons aux grands-ducs, cette visite offre un regard captivant sur la façon dont Vilnius et la Lituanie se sont développées à travers les siècles. Votre aventure commence au monument du Grand-Duc Gediminas, où vous rencontrerez votre Guide avec un panneau jaune, un parapluie ou un sac. Pendant la première heure, vous explorerez des sites historiques clés, notamment le palais inférieur et le château de Gediminas (vu d’en bas, sans monter la colline). En chemin, vous en apprendrez plus sur les premiers habitants de la Lituanie, les tribus baltes et bien plus encore ! Ensuite, entrez dans la cathédrale de Vilnius et descendez sous ses grandes salles dans les cryptes. Ces chambres renferment des secrets séculaires, des sépultures nobles aux histoires cachées qui attendent d'être révélées. Apprenez-en davantage sur l'importance de la Cathédrale, sur les souverains qui y reposent et sur les mystères qui persistent encore.

Nous vous expliquons ce qu'était le bâtiment avant et à quoi vous attendre si vous décidez de le visiter plus tard après la visite
Nous couvrons les conditions dans lesquelles le royaume lituanien a été créé au 13ème siècle. Le développement précoce du pays médiéval
Nous ne montons pas à la colline, nous vérifions la belle vue de la tour depuis le bas et discutons du but du château défensif à Vilnius
Nous visitons la cour du palais et comprenons pourquoi il a été construit ici, en apprendre davantage sur les grands dirigeants historiques et ce que nous pouvons trouver dans le palais de nos jours (nous ne visitons pas le musée lui-même)
Après avoir marché dehors, nous descendons dans les mystérieuses cryptes sous la cathédrale de Vilnius, où nous visitons les chambres. Nous apprenons l'importance de la cathédrale, les personnes qui y reposent, l'histoire du développement religieux du pays et les mystères qui persistent encore dans ses profondeurs.

If you love history then this is for you. Kristina, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable. Getting to visit the crypt was very special. I wish the Lithuanian all the best to finally be able to locate Vytautus and place him to rest in his crypt. I was so excited to report back to my Lithuanian (Aus born) husband about this wonderful experience. Now to go down more rabbit holes about Lithuanian history
Great Lithuania history lesson on leaders, religion, architecture, and culture. Our guide was great and definitely enjoyed his job. You can go without a guide everywhere except the actual crypts, but you would miss the stories and facts behind Lithuania.

Milda was amazing in her knowledge and I really enjoy the chats with her. No one joined the tour except me so it became a private tour! The crypt below the church was impressive and there was so much to learn. Love it!

We flew into Vilnius (from the U.S) on a Friday morning. After driving around a bit, finding parking and lunch, we were excited to tour the beautiful 'old town' area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant, but I think we were just too tired for such a historic tour. Not sure if it was the material or how it was presented, but we both looked forward to it ending, which we have never experienced on tours before. A few others in our group also appeared a bit bored. We went on to take other tours sponsored by this group and we enjoyed them very much. So we chalked this experience up to jet-lag.

Nice and knowledgeable guide. We got an exciting tour of the crypt, which is not accessible without a guide. Could maybe spend a little more time in the cathedral but overall a good tour that is worth the money.
