Nice Tour Guide but Disorganized

First: Luca was the tour guide who was kind and exuberant. He had wonderful information about the area! The thing that stops this from being 5 stars was that it didn’t seem well planned. Before we went to the tasting he stopped at a waterfall. This was not on the schedule so everyone was a bit confused. I really think alterations to the tour should be discussed with the people who booked it. It was pretty but I didn’t care to see considering it was EXTREMELY hot and not what I signed up for. Also, ignore the picture of food in the description. That is a stock photo and they give you nothing like that at the tasting. They didn’t even know what we were talking about when we asked. We got meat (no cheese, which was odd for Italy) and one pesto bruschetta. I do NOT advise tours use stock photos, it’s highly deceiving. This is not a ‘light lunch’. The tasting took forever because she kept stopping to help people that stopped in (slightly frustrating). After we went to a small town and I think this was supposed to be the ‘light lunch’ but it really wasn’t and all of us were extremely confused as to what was going on because no (I mean zilch) direction was given. The waiter came and gave us menu options but none of us understood really what was being offered, if it was part of the tour, or if we had to pay. This is where direction from the tour guide would have been helpful (he was somewhere else having an espresso). Turns out we each got one baguette, which they randomly put together on plates (mixing all the orders together). Note: if I order something I don’t want it plated with another person’s order who I don’t know. Also, not tea a ‘lunch’. My advice: eat before you go since you will be drinking. Note: I would have actually liked time on our own at the town.

We are pleased to read that you appreciated Luca's enthusiasm and knowledge of the region. We would, however, like to clarify a few points. Our philosophy is not to follow a rigid script. Whenever possible, our tour leaders like to surprise guests with unexpected viewpoints, hidden gems or short scenic stops that are not listed in the itinerary. We consider these moments an added value rather than a deviation from the experience. Regarding the food, the photos shown are representative of the local products served and are not intended to depict the exact presentation. The tasting and the light lunch included in the tour are clearly described in the product details. As for the cicchetti, serving different varieties together on shared platters is an authentic Venetian tradition and an integral part of the local culture. Our goal is to let guests experience local customs as they are, rather than adapting them to international expectations. Finally, we are sorry if you felt you would have preferred more free time in Asolo. Balancing guided experiences, tastings and independent time within a one-day tour is always a compromise, and we continuously review guest feedback to refine that balance. We remain proud of offering an authentic experience that has been appreciated by thousands of guests over the years.

Beautiful prosecco country

This was a fantastic tour. We had Daniel as a guide and he drove us safely and pointed out interesting facts on our way to the winery. The highlight of the tour was Lara and her explanation of the wine making process and the samples. It was the best prosecco and salami I have ever had. We bought some and she was able to ship back to the US. Highly recommend.

Beauty in the Hills

This was a great tour. The prosecco winery we visited was small, quaint and unique! Christina, one of the family owners, was sweet, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. She is very passionate about her work and it came through so positively during our visit. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Miriam was kind, professional and very easy going. She allowed us some free time which was appreciated. The drive to the hills is windy but it has beautiful scenery. If you get car sick it may be wise to know this ahead of time.

Great tour and great guide

Great tour! Luca was very knowledgeable and kind. The winery was beautiful and the wine itself was outstanding. Be prepared that it is a long drive from the meeting spot, but well worth it!

Lucca was a wonderful...

Lucca was a wonderful driver & guide and he provided an excellent experience in the Prosecco hills. Lovely scenery, informative wine tasting with snacks. Would have been nice to spend a bit more time in Asolo…lovely town, but the cicchetti and spritz were terrific. Would definitely recommend.
